Didn’t get to try it. We chose to go to this one out of several places and when we got there they were closed. Their hours said they were open at 11:30, we got there at 12:30 and they weren’t open. We could see people in there but the doors weren’t open.
Lives in chandler most my life and had never tried Paletas betty. I heard all the craze for their paletas and had to come check it out myself. I’ve come on multiple occasions since then definitely worth it if you can get behind the price for their authentic Mexican paletas. I’ve had their strawberry lemonade, coffee chocolate paleta and their Mexican hot chocolate. My absolute favorite was their coffee paleta such great favors was the highlight of my visit. Their strawberry lemonade is so good and perfect balance of sweet and sour. The Mexican hot chocolate was very much just exactly that I’m personally use to Abuelitas but for them making it in house it was still very good. Personnel made the experience quick friendly and easy every time. Would recommend
A cute, little ice cream shop that has tasty homemade ice cream bars. I had the roasted pecan & cream bar which had a ton of pecans in every bite. The cost was only $3.50
I ordered the Mexican hot chocolate. At first I ordered in Spanish but girl behind the counter didn't seem to understand. So I switched to English. I asked if it was made of Mexican chocolate. She said yes and that it was bittersweet. I said okay, give me a cup. I tasted it and IT WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. I expected it to be made from the popular Mexican brands like Ibarra or Abuelita. It was not, as I KNOW what these brands taste like. (I have had them at other coffee shops and have made it myself.) To give this place the benefit of the doubt, I guess there's other Mexican brands out there that I haven’t heard of; and that's what I was served. I didn't like it. It was not sweet enough and too expensive...$5.40 for an 8 ounce cup. (But despite the expense I really didn't mind paying almost $5.50 because I was out on a leisurely winter night stroll with my wife and saw that sharing a nice cup of Mexican hot chocolate would hit the spot.) Plus the cup sleeve (so you don't burn your hands) was too small and didn't fit the cup; it stuck out at the bottom of the cup and didn't cover most of it. Also I know that piping hot Mexican hot chocolate takes a long time to cool down. I, assuming that it was made with Ibarra or Abuelita, knew that it would be a while before I could sip it. I was shocked that after a couple of minutes I felt it cool enough to taste. I tasted it and immediately knew why it was cooling fast: it wasn't Ibarra or Abuelita. (Even in the winter that stuff holds its heat.) I will not be back.
Delicious hand crafted hot chocolate; the best I’ve ever had. Couldn’t stop there so I had their “homemade” strawberries & cream popsicle - wholesome, refreshing and tasty. Service from Jesus was great just to top it off ?!
Wow! Local company with outstanding Mexican flavor popsicles. Definitely worth every penny because the sabor shines through each bite. Like tasting a dream!
Tried the arroz con leche paleta and it was AMAZING!
Paletas in Phoenix is a must! And Paletas Betty does a great job.
So this is a cool little place. Super simple. A little pricey for a popsicle but it was a really good popsicle. I got the blueberry lavender and it was very refreshing on a hot Arizona afternoon. If they kept the place a little nicer, I would give them 5 stars. The outside is cute but could definitely be a little nicer inside. Fun place to get a popsicle.
The shop was small. Service was great. I ordered the Mango w/chili and my husband ordered the coconut. Very tasty and it hit the spot on a hot Az day.
