I got the al pastor tacodillas. Man they were awesome. My wife got the red chicken sopas and loved them as well. Also the horchata was some of the best I have ever had.
I'm giving this a 5 rating given the quality of the meal vs. their available resources. This is apparently a small chain in the area; we visited their shop in the neighborhood of Ahwtukee. Maskadores, btw, refers to the Mexican wrestling masks - not anything Covid-related. :) This becomes clear when you enter and see the posters on the wall. I learned a new term, at least. We stopped by around 11:30 a.m. on a Friday. They had about 6 - 7 tables in the dining area, one of which was occupied by two guys waiting on their to-go orders. Another couple stopped in just after us, and they appeared to also be doing a decent take-out business. There was only one lady handling orders and food prep during most of our lunch, though I think someone else arrived towards the end. Despite the staffing, she managed to prep our orders in reasonably short order. They have a counter where you can see a lot of the ingredients and a board with your menu choices (combos, types of meat, etc.). I opted for the 2-taco combo with rice/beans. Others in our party got a taco salad and some other combos. The rice is less seasoned / orange than in your average Tex-Mex place. Also, the beans are not 'refried' in a sort of brown paste - these are just seasoned pinto beans. I'm not complaining about either variant just noting this as 'rice and beans' may have different implications depending on what you are used to. However, I will say that I finished my combo, the tacos were quite good, and I had no complaints about the rice or the beans. Everyone in our party, including one who was of Central American heritage, enjoyed the meal. If I were a resident of this area, I'd consider a return visit here.
Pretty good tacos a little spicy if you want or a lot of spicy depends on your preference. Lots of flavor for sure. We love Maskadores Taco Shop.
The food is incredible full of flavor a must visit and repeat restaurant. Service fantastic and oh so CLEAN highly recommend if you like ?mexican food this will satisfy your craving ?
A nice family owned restaurant, we ordered Burrito and Tacos (vegetarian), very nice. I can go again to eat vegetarian burritos and tacos.
To start out this place has some of the best Mexican food. They have a salsa bar that has a variety of salsas, some of the salsas are actually spicy which is great. And the service at this specific location is amazing. I felt like I was getting service from sit down restaurant. 5 out of 5 for me.
The staff seemed annoyed with us from the moment we started ordering. We had a couple of questions about our order. The time to get our food was not very long. It might be because no one else was there. We got our 4 orders in about 15 minutes. My wife bit into her taquitos (rolled tacos) and was surprised when it was filled with potatoes. We have ordered this dish at many mexican places and have never had it filled with potatoes. They had placed the meat on top of the taquito. It did not taste good. They did offer to replace it but we didn't want to wait. I ordered a taco salad which was not impressive. One of my kids ordered a chimichanga which he liked but I thought was too greasy. My other kid ordered some enchiladas which were not rolled. They put cheese in a corn tortilla, folded it in half, and then grilled it and put sauce on top of it. Out of the 4 dishes were ordered and ate, this was the only one that tasted good. I will not go back based on the service and lack of flavor. I would guess that everyone rated the tacos as my rating for the food and service is low.
Love the salsa nice and spicy. Amazing flavor. Friendly service and very pleasant place to eat. Food was amazing!!!
THIS PLACE RULES!! I’ve been going here awhile and the team of 3 always stays cool under pressure and makes magic happen in the kitchen. I do want to say the customers are awful though. Just disrespectful and degrading. I guess that’s par for the course in this part of Arizona. To the guy behind me who ordered 3 burritos on January 7th 2022 around 5:30 ish…I hope you bite your tongue, your pillows are always hot, and your life is as terrible and sad as you try to make others feel
The owner is pretty nice and I usually get a Carne Asada Burrito with the steak and steak sitting in green sauce. Going straight up with the steak sitting in sauce is also highly recommended if you can hang. Be warned.
