I was a little surprised that they make their chop suey with brown sauce instead of a garlic white sauce.I just need to work on flavors, always kind of bland.
Meh. Food was mediocre at best. Not worth the sodium and calories. Everything we ordered (Mongolian beef, shrimp lo mein and twice cooked pork) had no identifiable flavors and was simply just tossed and covered in chili oil. Egg rolls were almost burnt and had a very odd flavor inside I couldn’t identify nor enjoy. The fried rice was basically white rice tossed in soy sauce - it had nothing else in it at all. Like it was kind of a waste of $50 because the food will simply go in the garbage. Whoever is giving this place 5 stars has never had authentic & delicious Chinese food in their life.
Great family owned business! Reasonable prices, nice sized portions and delicious American Chinese cuisine. We order here often and have never been disappointed.
It's been said that it's a gamble trying new Chinese food joints because you are either going to be satisfied or completely disappointed and be ravenously hungry within a couple of hours. Also most of the food ends up being compared to an express place named after a Chinese bear. A relatively low bar to begin with.First some bloke in a pink shirt tried to charge me almost twice the price he gave me over the phone. When I told him to just keep my order he decided to honor the inital price. The eggroll tasted like bass, and I'm not talking fishy. The entree tasted wild caught, but not talking about chicken. The rice looked off also. Will compliment them on the shrimp which was actually really tasty. Did see on the menu that they do not use MSG. At least they have an excuse for the food tasting subpar.
The service is amazing and the food is always great. One of the best spots to go in town.
Great family owned business. They also treat their customers with respect - I have started going even more and they recognize me and thank me for my repeat business. I love the sesame chicken, and for the price the portions are great. 14 bucks gets me 2 meals, 14 bucks at any other place leaves me still hungry. I can’t emphasize how fresh the food is here - they always cook their rice fresh, never gotten any food that has been sitting. Between the steaming hot food, great prices, and a great family you can’t go wrong with Hong Kong bistro.
Big servings and selections. Sweet and sour sauce was thin and runny. But other wise food was good.
This place is always a reliable source for great Chinese food. It’s always fresh and hot when I get it and I’ve never had any issues. I’m glad to live close by, keep up the good work!!
I am a huge foodie. Food was not hot when ordered. I ordered the orange chicken. Horrible. Very bland and disgusting. So was the rice. The soup smelled horrible and tasted worse than it smelled. The only positive was the woman working was friendly. Anyone rating 5 stars have not had great Chinese food a day in their life. Gordon Ramsey would agree
Food is always amazing! The service is great! Lunch deals are incredible!
