I absolutely love this place. From the first bite to the last bite all myself and my sister could say was MMMM.The staff here are on it from the moment we walked in greeting us until the end continuously checking on us ensuring we were enjoying ourselves.The managers are very welcoming and knowledgeable of food. We went with the GMs recommendation and well let's just say we will for sure be returning!Highly recommended!
I come to this Gadzooks at least once a week for a work break. Not only is this restaurant in my top 3 of all time, but their food and service never fails me. I’ve visited every Gadzooks in AZ and they are all great but today my experience was upper echelon. I was served by the GM today with the best attitude! Even while serving he manages to make it a personal experience, you leave feeling seen, and very confident your food was made with attention to detail and love for making it just right for the customer. All of their staff is amazing and you can tell it is a direct reflection of their leader! Thank you for today. I had a rough day at work and my usual 2 stuffed poblanos with pork shoulder and short rib, with a winning service, was just enough to push my through the rest of the day. Thank you all for your service and keep it up! I’m sure I will be in later this week ?
Gadzook’s is not a fancy place, but their food is definitely on par with a sit-down restaurant. Their 50/50 tortillas (a corn and flour blend) are delicious. I appreciate the spinach and mushroom filling, since it can be hard to find veggies in Mexican food restaurants. If you are a cilantro fan, their buttermilk dressing is very tasty. I prefer this menu to Chipotle’s.
So there was one customer in line in front of us. She took approximately seven minutes. No problem. Then the gal who was serving the customers decided to make tortillas. We waited another five minutes before starting to get frustrated. She never looked up. Never said let me make tortillas and I’ll be right with you. Finally another person came, a guy, again, never looked up. At this point there are now five people in line waiting to get some service. Never once. Five minutes later we gave up and walked out. Absolutely horrific customer service. No contact. No I contact. No bear with us, we are tired and it’s been a long day. Maybe the food is good. I have no way of knowing. But no food is worth waiting 14 minutes without even having your presence acknowledged. I believe everybody in line was going to walk out at that point. Just tell us that there’s a problem. Just communicate. Give us a smile and say please be patient. Absolutely nothing.
Great lunch spot if your in down town Chandler. Was definitely impressed with the way the food taste.
Stopped for lunch. Unique take on enchiladas. I tried the green chili pork and braised beef with sweet corn mix with red and green sauce and pickled onions. Very good. Highly recommend.
New way of fast food of Mexican cuisine.Good options for vegetarian. Delicious salsa toppings. Quantity is less for the price compared to other Mexican food options. Neat place, prompt service and ample parking available.
I have given this place five stars before, because I really love their food and the people there are nice and friendly. Customize your own enchiladas they bake them right in front of you. The food is awesome. I have reduced my review because for whatever reason the place smells like sewage when you walk in. I went there for lunch today and the smell chased me right out. I don't know if it is a sewer back up or what. problem that they need to address or what but the smell is awful and I don't think I can eat it that location until that is resolved. Maybe they have gone "nose blind" to the smell?

Pricey but delicious and super fresh!I bypassed this restaurant for years because the restaurant name (gadzooks...didn't know it actually had meaning) and sign (enchiladas and soup...weird combo) didn't inspire me. Don't make the same mistake as me! Yes the food is prepared fast and yes it has a fast food atmosphere, but the food is way better than several dine-in taco restaurants that don't even come close in terms of quality, quantity and eclectic menu choices. The only thing I don't like is the soup...way too watery for me.I never eat at this restaurant because the inside dining area has zero ambience and I prefer not to sit within feet of traffic inhaling exhaust fumes. Since all food is prepared in the same containers (take out or dine in), I don't feel like I'm missing out by only doing take out.Suggestion to Owner: Relocate to a larger space with more parking and a better dine in experience. I have had to pass by the restaurant before because your bar neighbors take up all the parking spaces. And one day I would like to dine in or sit on the patio.
