Always good food and service!
Shane and Matt always make us feel welcome!!
I took my wife to Chop Chandler for our 30th anniversary. Overall, the restaurant is nice, the server was outstanding and the food was ok. I chose this restaurant because it had great reviews. For the price (which was expensive) I found the food to be just ok, nothing really special. But other than that, it has great potential and the staff did a great job so thank you for that.
This place is a total hidden gem! We had never heard of it before searching for a"good resturaunt" to have a Friday night date night! The food was absolutely phenomenal and the service was even better than that! My husband said the steak was better than city hall and definitely in his top 3! I had the meatloaf which was "melt in your mouth" incredible!! 10/10 recommend this restaurant!
Ambiance was nice until the lights went down so low that you could hardly see to pay your bill without additional light. My prime rib was ok and seemed a bit small for the $49 price. With the prime rib being a special offering on Friday's and the fact that we were early diners at 5:30 p.m., I was expecting the delivery of a beautiful fresh-looking cut of meat. Unfortunately, the cut I received looked a bit tired and was pretty fatty; when the lights dimmed, I had a hard time trying to cut around the fat. My husband ordered the meatloaf because the description sounded delicious with the Wagyu beef, but he found it to be quite dry and didn't even finish it. Michael was our server and was exceptional at taking care of us and making us feel welcomed without being obtrusive.
Always a good meal at Chop. Michael is the best server in Phoenix.
When Chop is not busy itâs better than when itâs busy. Food is good and service is hit or miss. For the price it underperforms.
After having had five dinners at Chop in the last four months my experience this past Saturday was abysmal. From ordering and receiving the wrong drinks, waiting extremely long to place our order for food only to have the server submit the request incorrectly. When the food did arrive itâs quality was not up to past dinners, one entree had to be sent back and then our appetizer arrived quite unexpectedly. I ordered a 2nd cocktail but it never arrived so I just asked for the bill. To be fair the server was very apologetic and took off the appetizer but for what I paid I did not get an equal experience. One of the things that I noticed that could have cause the series of events that we experienced was that the restaurant had booked a large party in a private section. I always through of Chop as a upscale adult establishment so I would question the decision to host a birthday party for teenagers on a Saturday night. Just my opinion and it will weigh on my decision to dine at Chop again.
Disappointing. Not the experience for our anniversary I wanted. Reservations at 6:30, Seated at 7:20. Why take reservations if you don't have tables ready. Many others waiting as well. Another 10 minutes for server to stop by. Server was inattentive. Took drink and food order, and never saw them again the rest of evening. Not even to bring us our check. Person busing tables did that. When finally seated, they were out of prime rib, which was why we went there. Server just said, nothing they can do about it, do you want to see a manager. No apology, not even I'm sorry. Wonder if prime rib available at time of reservations. Food was OK. Ribeye was cooked to correct temperature, but did not have much flavor and not tender. Baked potato undercooked. Needless to say, won't be back.
Excellent food, ambiance and service. Our server Matt, was fantastic. Great menu recommendations. Great energy and a very gracious host
