Service was excellent.. the food took a while for a sandwich and fries considering the fact they weren't busy busy. Overall, I enjoyed my chicken avocado club.. quite tasty. Love the decor and environment was inviting.
We love Black Bear Dinner for brunch. Staff is always super friendly and food is amazing. I recommend the Volcano!Jonathan was our server and he was great!
We had the best time and most wonderful meal. The wait was short for a Saturday brunch, the food came out hot and fast but most importantly the service was unmatched. Daniel made us feel so welcomed and at home. He was the BEST with our toddler! The kids meal was generous and the adult portions were large! We can’t wait to come back and hope to be seated with Daniel again!!!!
Amazing staff, all smiles and efficiency. But the meal was just okay. Would I go again? No. Not really an option. The food was room temperature. Hash browns more burnt than browned (but some raw?) - more like the dregs from the grill. The Eggs Benedict & Pancakes were tasty but once again room temp. The experience left me cold, like the food...
It's somewhat dark in this rustic California diner, but the booths are comfortable and our server was delightfully kind. You can't go wrong with the home-spun milk shakes. The Chicken Fried Stake, small portion was nice and sans greasy-spoon attributes, but the star of the meal was the huge mound of steamed carrots and broccoli that were so crisp and fresh. The build-your-own omelet was perfectly filling for my lunch partner. Very French style; perfect without a speck of browning. The accompanying hash browns were most likely half a pound in weight and enough for three adults to share. We seldom eat at diners, yet in my estimation, Black Bear has perfected the American diner experience.
Awesome restaurant! It has a local mom&pop feel with friendly staff and big portions. The decore is delightful. After a stressful morning at the airport I took my wife out to breakfast and it was exactly what we both needed. We are fast becoming regulars here. Jeanne is our favorite waitress. She is always quick with a friendly smile and witty remark. Definitely try this place out!
Went here for a mommy and daughter date, place was very clean the food was amazing definitely recommend the cinnamon roll french toast and bear cub pancakes! Above all, our waitress Amanda was super friendly and attentive. Definitely plan on coming back! Thanks!
We have always loved BBD and eat there often. Today was extra special, they were really busy and it took awhile to get food. Our little guy was being wild and the chef and staff kept him busy until food arrived! Thank you!
I love this place! Usually go for breakfast. Large delicious portions, good service and reasonable prices never fail to please. The Bigfoot Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs is one of my favorites. Buttermilk biscuits are huge and wonderful! Amanda, our server today, was very attentive, helpful and friendly.
Thanks to manager Kelley we enjoyed a family dinner at the Black Bear Diner. The omelets, burgers, steaks and hot sandwiches were cooked to order. There was an issue with the grandkids meals and the manager, Kelley, immediately came to our table and apologized, assured us that new food would soon arrive. In moments, she had a plate of fries and a bowl of fresh fruit sent to our table for the kiddos to nosh on until their food arrived. The kid’s meals were comped and she apologized as we were leaving. There weren’t many staff on duty and Kelley was checking orders, ringing out diners, directing the cook staff on orders and more.Can Kelley be cloned? Restaurants across the valley need her!
