The first dish I ever tried was the Sopes. I wasn't a fan. But their enchiladas and tacos are pretty great! They are a bit pricey if you're ordering for a family. The drive through guy did get my order wrong on my last visit and I had an outrageous bill that I ended up paying for because they had made the food...But other than that instance I've had a relatively good experience the other two times I've eaten here.
I give Mr. Baja five stars..There was a confusion on my orderThey graciously fixed my order with a smile and professionalism...Very clean, great ambience...Food is amazing..I'm now a loyal customer
Ohhh no. New management; new higher prices, and new lower ingredient quality. If you're used to other Mex restaurants in the city, you might be fine with this, since it's at least average, and if you'd never tasted it at its best, you wouldn't know what you're missing. For us, it dropped from a 4.5 to a 2. Red sauce on enchiladas is worse, rice is worse, beans are worse, cheese on flautas is worse, and even the CHIPS are worse. Where they used to fry up fresh chips in the restaurant every day, they started using premade seasoned chips, which just aren't as good as fresh. (Edit: They have switched back to fresh chips, so I'm at least bumping up to 3 stars, and may, hopefully, update to more stars later...) SOMETHING in all the new ingredients gave my mother an allergic reaction, though we're not sure what since so many individual things have changed. We were still treated wonderfully by our usual server -- the kind of person we actually looked forward to leaving a tip for -- so it hurts that we may not be able to justify going back now. I agree with the recent review from Tom Beckett: "Disappointing, like losing an old friend!"
Mr. Baja was our go-to Mexican restaurant for the last year. Under new ownership and the menu looks like Taco Giro II. Really disappointed in the huge price jump. The expanded menu seems overly aggressive for a restaurant with a small kitchen. I wish the new owner all the best but we will not be returning. Disappointing, like losing an old friend!
Sampled several different meat tacos and pozole all tasted delicious. Authentic Mexican cuisine. I highly recommend it .
I absolutely love going to Mr Baja! Whether I go through the drive-thru or go inside the service is unbeatable. Always friendly, I have yet to receive an incorrect order and the food is undeniably delicious! Today I went inside and ordered to go, I sat at their quaint little bar and enjoyed a perfect Modello Negra on tap, multiple staff pass and asked how I was doing etc...1000 out of 10
Drive thru is a b.otch ,unless turning right. But food is great. My big truck is hard, but love the food
Stopped here with my wife after driving by it for almost a year - I wish I could kick myself for not going sooner. We sat at the bar, were immediately served warm chips with amazing, spicy salsa. Split a taco platter, everything tasted great, the battered fish tacos in particular. Extremely affordable as well. Restaurant was extremely clean and our server was attentive and friendly. We will certainly be visiting again in the near future.
The best tacos in casa grande in my opinion. Have had quite a lot of Mexican food in Casa and this has no grease great tasting food made fresh my family will continue to eat here.
Food was delicious. Service was perfect! Now all they need are some authentic margaritas
