The food was delicious! And NIKKI our server was extremely friendly and FUNNY!! Thank you!! We will be back next time we are in the area.
A neighborhood diner located in the city of Avondale,AZ .Nikki made our first time dining experience at TJ’s a good one. She was friendly and made us laugh with her beautiful personality. Wait time to be seated was about 30 min to get seated. Wait time to receive our food was about 40-45 min. They are low in staff including cooks so it is a reasonable wait time. The food was worth the wait. I’m sure if the restaurant was fully staffed it would be a much great experience.
I stopped in because the photos and reviews seemed really positive. I also try to avoid large chains as much as I can.The service was C+ at best.Menu was a little confusing to decide what I wanted to eat.Food did come to the table fast but it was not enjoyable.I tried to eat what had to be the worst attempt of a chicken fried steak I’ve ever tasted in my life. The meat tasted extremely bad and the breading was a strange dark color I’ve never seen before on a chicken fried steak. One side of the chicken fried steak was pretty rare and added to the already unpleasant experience I was having.Bacon was cooked to a burnt crisp. When I grabbed a piece, it crumbled in my hand and also did not taste very good.Scrambled eggs tasted like they were cooked using cheap butter and there was a large pool of melted butter below where the eggs were resting on the plate. The syrup tasted like dollar store syrup.Juice tasted watered down. The most edible part of my meal was the sourdough toasted, even though it was buttered heavily.I can’t say I’ll be back in this lifetime. There’s cheaper and better places to eat that are not too far from here.
This an awesome breakfast place. It's a mom & pop restaurant. The breakfast was so good& you get plenty of food at a reasonable price. My husband got eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, toast. I got an avocado omelet which had bacon, cheddar cheese, tomato es,onion, topped with a hollandaise sauce & toast & hashbrowns. The flavors were amazing. I could only finish a quarter of it. We took it home & had it for breakfast the next morning. They also serve lunch & we will be back.
Chicken Fried Steak was a little dry for my liking. Gravy was good. Eggs, hashbrowns, and pancakes were on point. My coworker ordered some kind of chili omelette... He devoured it, I'm assuming it was good.
Good home cooking! Friendly staff!
Everything was perfect. From food to staff
Service and the food was good. Steak was not the best.It was too much salt and soft. The price ok I would be happy to come back and try something else thank you
We stopped by on Friday morning. The parking lot was full, as soon as we walked in we got greeted by different staff members and we were asked to sign in on the waiting list.
