Alright. So my family and I use to go here when it used to be Bamboo Palace. This was almost 2 decades ago. It was decent but we ate there so much we got sick of it. Literally and figuratively. My wife and I were weary to try Red Dragon since we've both had bad Chinese buffet experiences. I was INCREDIBLY surprised. Honestly the food was great. They had calamari, tempura shrimp, all kinds of sushi and it was solid! Definitely going back!
Just not what I was expecting I guess. I thought it was going to be more of all you can eat sushi. But they had very little sushi and what they did have was... Well had been sitting there for a good 10 minutes at least. I can't say I word recommend the sushi. As far as the rest of the buffet. It was not so bad really. Food seemed to be still fresh
Been wanting to find another buffet. It's a bit far from where I live but I'm glad I was invited out. It was worth the drive! This place has very tasty food and if you eat like a hollowed legged growing man you can get your money's worth(under $20)I ate lots of different prepared and flavored shrimp, chicken and fish. The stuffed mushrooms And the crab Rangoon seemed to be on multiple plates that I brought back. Soooo yummy. The general and orange chicken was on point. Great place to treat yourself if you haven't eaten out in a while.
Worse place ever to go. The owner Khan is the worst. Not once after standing for 15 min to be seated did anyone acknowledge my family. My husbands proceeded by saying this place has bad customer service. That is when Khan the owner was only time to acknowledge us to only say “LEAVE”!!! People this is unfortunately what we have been left to deal since after COVID started. Please stop spending our hard earned money on establishments like this that do not care one bit for the people. Same people that pay Khans establishment Red Dragon Buffet on 1461 N Dysart #101 Avondale and his Mortgage.This happened 3/27/2022 at 3:50pm. Please reconsider before stepping foot in this place. There are better places where the people can go with their families and dine and get treated with respect.
Five stars because I have been coming here for over 6 years and they are consistently good! Over all Red Dragon is one of the best buffets I have eaten at. The sushi rolls are basic. The chicken wings are a must try for any chicken wing conesouer!! Trust me!
So although the price was cheap, there was very little options with the food along with the quality of some dishes being poor. Our waitress Maggie, did not check on us in how we were doing or if we needed any refills. Walking past our booth I know she noticed how low our drinks were. Our check was dropped at our booth early while we were eating and just a few minutes later we were asked to leave. She literally had her hand out for us to pay now because its been too long. I've never felt so rushed and highly disappointed at a restaurant as I do now. Mind you we were only there for an hour.
I don't know how this place has 4+ average star. Place is very dirty. Food is tasty but very greasy. In March 2022 it's $11.59 for lunch plus $2.29 for a drink. About on par for chines buffet prices. Probably won't be back as the level of cleanliness I just can't get past.
What sucks the most about this review is the place is right down the road from me and place is absolutely terrible. Cost wise you'll be at roughly $15/person with a soda.Interior is dated and dirty. You can easily see in the kitchen. I'm not sure I've ever seen such a dirty kitchen in my life. Surfaces are stained brown and black from an extreme lack of cleaning.The food while the flavor was ok. The appearance and the texture was just so far off from appealing. Some items were clearly on the buffet line far too long and were easily getting sticky, dry, or mushy.I will gladly say the staff was very friendly and our waiter was on top of drink refills and removing our dirty plates. Great job there.I'll gladly drive even another 15miles to find a better buffet. I honestly have no idea how I commonly see a line out the door at this place during dinner on the weekends. This place could easily become a 10/10 if they cracked down on proper cleaning and better sorted the cooks presentation.
They had a great selection of food. The staff was friendly and nice. I'd give the service a 10 out of 10 .
When we want Chinese food we head to this restaurant for several reasons. The food is great, lots of variety, and it always has a nice appearance. I also find the servers to be very friendly and efficient in clearing the tables of used dishes.
