Food and drink was good. Short staff though which we waited about 20mins to place our orders..

Our out of town family wanted to eat Mexican Food so we too them to Raul and Theresa’s in Avondale. They had some new staff members that had attitude and needed some training in hospitality. A customer will get frustrated when asking multiple times for items. Upon entering there was some arguing between the two young people at door. We waited for a while at our table then were brought a small bowl of salsa and chips to spread amongst a long table of six! Not having a swing span of six feet I asked the server for another salsa and her reply was “it was not her job and she would tell the busier??? Another staff member comes by and I asked her what happened to the salsa we had asked for and her reply was that we need to be patient that they were busy??? We had arrived at 9am and they did not appear to be busy till about an hour later. By the time the salsa came out meals were being served. When our coffee was brought to the table the server stands at one end and has us all pass the hot coffee cups to the other end instead of serving that end then walking to the other end and serving the others!!! Same thing happened when our meals were brought she warned the plates were hot and still handed them to us to pass on instead of walking to the other end to place on table!!! The owner didn’t seem to care and sided with his employees and said that customers get demanding!!! He’s lucky that his clientele goes back decades long before he ever owned the restaurant.

Authentic Mexican food relaxing environment friendly staff and service was fast I had the Alonso omelette/ Chile relleno churros w/ horchata food was top notch my boss had the Chile relleno he also loved it will be back to Raul Theresa’s

Wow the food is amazing perfect spices we will be back

Food was great but the people there is outstanding. The server was a so kind and sweet she definitely make us feel like home...... We had a great Valentine's at this place.. Also who seam to be the owner, came to our table to ask if everyone was ok....... I would absolutely recommend this place.

Friday dinner with friends who love this location on Hwy85. Seated right away, given menus. waiter circled back quickly, took drink orders, fyi they serve Margaritas by the pitcher!! chips and salsa arrived right before drinks. The salsa is awesome, medium heat! 2 baskets are complimentary. Food orders taken and served within reasonable time, arriving hot! All of our food was excellent! They serve a chili relleno with beef, friend said was good. Most combo plates are 3 items with rice and beans and priced right. Each couple ordered combo plate and side item and shared, we still took home leftovers. Our waiter was attentive, on point and not friendly but not rude. After reading reviews, which our friends said to ignore, not sure why so many negative remarks. Was very busy, but we got what we came for, awesome food and drinks. If you want overly friendly waiters, go to a dinner show, this place isnt Cheers! We will be back, my new favorite Mexican restaurant, and going to try their breakfast soon!

The menu has changed but I asked our waitress how long she has worked there. 18 yrs. So we were able to get what we always did. They have a red and green sauce. She brought us a sample to make sure it was what we wanted. Always get the burrito with a sauce inside they always put in. Cheese on top and we also get green sauce. It’s creamy with meat in it. It’s called the Theresa special. They now make it fried. We just got a burrito not fried. Margarita was AWESOME. We almost did not go because of reviews but we will be back. The couple we went with enjoyed their food and said they would also be back. Give it a try.

Nice place, masks required to enter. Very open floor plan. Food very good. No quest WiFi. First 2 baskets of chips complementary. Very few Mexican entrees under $10.00. I Rated this restaurant average but would definitely consider returning a second time.

Customer service was lacking. No pride in serving us. Items on menu selection were not delivered. Seemed that we were just a number and not a customer. The check out lady never said a word to us, simply took my card and not even a thank you or please come back to visit us. Living in Yuma, I always made it a point to stop for a meal. Maybe on my future trips to Phoenix I will by pass Raul & Theresa's and patronize another restaurant.

The food here is sooooooo delicious. The Alonso omelet is absolute heaven.
