Absolutely love when I get a chance to stop by Modern Grind. Always a friendly face at the window. My favorite drink is the Iced White Angel Sara’s Way. It’s my go to on a day I need an extra caffeine boost ❤️
This place is a local gem. So glad they opened a location in Avondale! They carry white coffee, which is rare in AZ, but definitely a PNW trend that I have been missing since moving back. Thanks to the owner for bringing back a taste of WA for me to enjoy! Also, they carry local bakery goods that are delicious and the barista was super nice and easy-going. Will definitely be a returning customer for the white coffee mocha!
Welcome to the hidden secret. I usually go to another coffee shop that's out of my way when going to work. Well I was running late this morning & this was on my way to work. I am so glad I went here. The staff is super friendly & there are so, SO many drink options. I have been dying for a lavender mocha coffee & this place has one! I will definitely be a repeat customer.
hands down best coffee & best service!one night around 8:00 pm I decided I wanted an iced honey latte from somewhere local, and I found this adorable spot on Google that was open pretty late. I showed up and the baristas working genuinely seemed happy to serve me. I got an iced honey latte with oat milk, and the barista working asked me if I’d like to add cinnamon powder. I thought it sounded delicious, so I did, and now it’s my new go to.when the weather is nice I now like to get my latte and sit out on the patio with a good book! Modern Grind is simply the best and I’m very glad my late night caffeine craving helped me find this gem ?
Drive through guy was awesome when I couldn’t find the drive through, walked me through how to get there! Had a great convo about being first timers here and explained ‘white coffee’ to us. I ordered an iced white Angel and it’s fantastic. Nutty, different, tasty, well made! Place is cute too (: !
modern grind is my go to spot after a workout. i get the mountain climber with peanut butter added! the staff always greets me with a smile and makes me feel welcomed. i highly recommend to make a stop and make this your new favorite spot!
This place is the best. It’s my morning start nearly every day when we are in town. Love their lattes and cinnamon rolls in the morning, and the refreshing botanicals on warm afternoons. The staff is also great from the moment you pull up to the order board. They are pleasant, engaging and always make me leave with a smile to start the day. Great people, great shop and a very caring owner.
My friend recommended this place since it’s close to her apartment. I was unfortunately, disappointed. Mainly in the baked goods. They were out of what my friend recommended. They advertise local baked goods but the muffins were definitely from Costco, Sam’s Club or Walmart (which is right across the street). I’m a big believer in supporting local so I wish local shops would do the same instead of supporting big chains. The coffee was enjoyable, also had a “Chai love you” which was very sweet but not bad. Aye!
I absolutely love this coffee shop. My husband and I were having a home built last year which flowed over into 2022. During the long process, we leased a home close to the shop. I visited Modern Grind on a daily basis (sometimes twice a day) ? at all different times of the day. I have never had a bad experience. All the baristas greet you with a smile. They are experienced with the menu choices and have great recommendations for healthy food items. Daphine, the owner of the shop is one of the most unselfish, hardest workers I know. She gives back to the community and her team, in more ways than you will ever realize. She is a phenomenal business owner, boss, team player, wife and mother. I continue to support Modern Grind to this day and will always support local businesses though out our area.
I wanted to cry! I was so excited to try the new Seasonal St Patrick’s Day Menu and let me tell you they don’t lie when they talk about toddlers reaching their terrible twos! My son threw a fresh 24oz “Pot of Gold” Macchiato at the entrance of Sams Club. A huge shout out to Liz I let her know what happened and she was more then happy to remake me a “Pot of Gold” Macchiato (which is the best combination of butterscotch and coffee ?) to anyone who wants to support a business that cares about their momma bears this is the place❣️
