My family and I have been going here for over a year but the last two visits were enough to turn me off for good from the restaurant. Both times we’ve been forgotten by staff. We placed our order, and forty minutes later, I was watching people who were seated after us (like 20 minutes after we had ordered) get their orders. Bare in mind, by 40 minutes we haven’t even gotten our appetizer. When we asked our waitress, she comes back a few minutes later to let us know our dumplings were about to come out. Our food followed shortly after. I know if I wouldn’t have asked, they would have never put in our order and we would’ve been sitting clueless for who knows how long. The food is good, but not wait almost an hour good.
I personally don't like leaving bad reviews but today I had to make an exception. This is my second time ordering food from here. The first time everything was good, but this time around the food was cold like it has been refrigerated before I picked it up, I had a difficult time and just couldn't stand eating the way it was.
Highly recommend the sweetheart roll - and try it without dunking it in soy sauce at least for the first piece, it is so delicious as-is. :) very few sushi places in AK offer unique raw rolls with scallops, which is a nice change from the tendency to stuff spicy tuna into every single roll at most other restaurants. I wished they had chirachi (my usual go-to) but once I tried a couple of their special rolls I was glad I had to get rolls instead!
Incredibly fresh and flavorful sushi. The spicy chicken bowl had more sauce than I would prefer, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
The environment and atmosphere in this restaurant were both pretty good. The Kanpaj roll came with side salad and a shrimp tempura, making it feel like a value combo. The lunch bento was also pretty good with delicious tempura and gyoza, but the teriyaki chicken was a bit dry. Overall, it’s a nice place to have lunch in Fairbanks.
My husband and I always love going here for date nights. The staff is always so pleasant as soon as you arrive and the food is to die for. We haven’t come across something we haven’t liked there.
Holy sushi rolls! They are huge rolls! we thought prices were a little high, but after we got the rolls we understood the price. Good selection and good food. Clean atmosphere. Very nice staff.
New favorite sushi place in town. 100% recommend. My new favorite roll is the black dragon roll. Good quality food and atmosphere, nice and clean and great service. Loved it!
The staff was absolutely amazing. Very friendly and professional. The food was amazing. It was not that busy when we went so the food came out pretty quickly. Definitely recommend.
Everything was delicious! Service great n the music was wonderful with Christmas songs.
