Great food and great service. We liked it so much we ate here 2 nights in a row, before we left for home.
We traveled with another couple and ate at Pike's Landing next to Pike's Waterfront Lodge. The food was good and the server did a good job. Just beware that food in Alaska is more expensive than food in the lower 48. We each had a different dish (seafood to hamburgers) and each enjoyed our meal.
Our flight was delayed and Fairbanks airport has NO services. We arranged a drop off at Pikes Landing for a leisurely dinner. They even gave us a ride from the hotel to the airport later on. Had the fish and chips, halibut I recall which was very good. A couple of fancy vodka drinks and a hefeweisen beer. Overall good service, decent food, really accomodating for our long stay. The outdoor deck overlooking the Chena River was very crowded but it was a beautiful evening...so we ate inside. They are having some staff issues but dealing with it well. Thank you
We stopped here for dinner while visiting Fairbanks. The restaurant is set on the Chena River and outside dining by the water is a possibility. The place offers sandwiches, burgers, and some more elaborate main courses. The food was fine and ample. The service was also fine.
Tried to find a local place to eat seafood. This did not disappoint! We had a large party but were quickly seated. Staff were attentive with drinks and food being delicious!
Food was terrible. Fish and chips were over priced and small. The soup was cold. The server acted as if this was his first day. Would not recommend.
We were warned that they get busy and we should be early. We had no issue getting a table for 7 at 5PM on a weeknight. The food was pretty good-fish and chips were fine. My daughter ordered the mac and cheese and it was so greasy that she didn't care for it, but the waitress brought her something else and took the mac and cheese off the bill since she didn't care for it and that was nice. The desserts were amazing-carrot cake and blueberry bread pudding. The restaurant itself is pretty dated considering the cost. But I kind of get the impression that this is typical for the area.My only quibble is that they were very poorly organized. There was no host. So you just walked up and sat down somewhere. This is fine but without anyone to direct traffic at a busy restaurant, there are people roaming the deck trying to figure out if you are almost done so they can claim your table. I even saw two middle aged women arguing over which of them claimed a table first. This could be solved with a proper host to take down names or something and again, given the cost of meals at the place, you'd think they could afford someone to just keep track of who is coming and going on the deck.Otherwise, it was a good place to have dinner. Fun to watch boats go by.
good food, fun atmosphere
Excellent food. Bar atmosphere.
We were hungry for breakfast food when we arrived at the lodge at 11 AM and hoping the restaurant was still serving it on a Sunday but they had moved on to lunch. We ordered from what was a pretty standard pub menu and had juicy cheeseburgers and black coffee. Our male waiter was warm, friendly, and efficient. This restaurant wasn’t anything special to write home about but it was very convenient to the hotel.
