The to-go tacos were dry, our table didn’t get serviced even when we sat for over 40 mins waiting for a server. People were smoking on the rooftop when there were signs everywhere that said no smoking, but staff didn’t even address it. We asked about getting a server several times and were blatantly ignored. Staff at the counters were rude. We didn’t even get served water. Will not be returning.
I once wrote a bad review about Williwaw. But I came back and they are a great bar. I was wrong about my wrong review. I would recommend this bar to anyone.
The Speakeasy is a joke. The Speakeasy should be removed from their website and all social media. There is no longer a Speakeasy; it's an overflow from the downstairs club. There's zero "dark and mysterious" aspect as advertised. The music and dancing were not prohibition era themed; it was all rave music. The only nostalgia was that the floors were so sticky it reminded us of the old movie theaters. The only thing "high end" about the drinks was the price. $8 for a plastic solo cup of beer? We sat near the bar and saw not one "intricately concocted cocktail" such as the Old Fashioned, Bourbon Sour, or Irish Maid. We were so excited to see the Speakeasy after finding the website, but sorely disappointed in the experience. If this place ever had magic, it's long gone.
They make an awesome salad. I needed to wait for my son to pick me up downtown one afternoon and discovered this place makes a great salad at an affordable price.Service is awesome.ease be sure to tip at least 20pct.
Ran inside on a whim. It was free to get in but I believe that was only because it was close to closing time which they said was 0300 (it was only 0200 but time was changing). We must of been on the “club” side. I can see where it would be a good spot for a younger crowd (21-30ish). During my 30 min stay, I only heard techno music, seen people literally jumping up and down on the dance floor. I just went in for a drink and to be nosey so mission accomplished, especially because my drink was actually a “good pour.”
Food was good and the drinks were great but myself and a few friends went to the speakeasy thinking it was going to be a quiet place to drink and talk. However, it was NOT a speakeasy. It looked nice at first but they had a DJ that played the music way too loud and you had to shout in order for people to hear you. And it was only a Thursday. Appetizers were good and we all enjoyed our drinks though! Very nice bartender!
Second time I have been here to see H3 both times I had a great time. Good drinks, the band is awesome and I love the mix of the crowd... diversity at it's finest. Just a really fun place.
A great speakeasy on the 2nd floor! The craft cocktails are extremely well done and innovative. The bartender even went off script and created some cocktails on the spot based on our preferences!
If I could give 0 stars I would. I was trying to get to the speak easy part of bar, and had to tapp people on the side to get there. One overly protective white person, grabbed me, because I tapped on some girl, and immediately notified the "security guards". All that happened was that he pushed me in their directions and they kicked me out. I stood outside for 30 min expecting to talk to someone to explain that I was being kicked out for no reason.If someone had come out to explain " hey, you are being kicked out for XXX, I would of understood." I would of said, oh ok. That make sense. No head of security came out. No manager came out. They just took some random white persons opinion for what happend as fact. Racist. I'll say! Racist. They hire secured guard who dont care about doing their job! wont even ask questions. If your white you can grab any brown person, dont even say why your doing it. Push them towards a white security person, and get them kicked them out. No questions asked. Try out! for real! if your white, grab a random brown person, push them towards security, say that they assulated a white customer, and that's it. They wont ask any questions or say anything. They'll just push the unwanted brown person out the door and wont ask they anything! I 100% mean it! try it!Whites only!
Racist and stereotyping staff. 9 out of 10 dentists do NOT recommend...You'd be better off flossing elsewhere. Seriously though, I walked in with some friends a couple of years back, and I am the only one kicked out, almost immediately after sitting down. I absolutely detest this establishment and wish that it would meet it's overdue demise. Bad MGMT and staff, unprofessional, rude, hostile, and racist towards natives. F+++ Williwaw. Zero stars. I recommend avoiding this place.
