Sensational! Wow! What a pleasant surprise. The hotdog was so delicious and more importantly the service was superb! What friendly and customer centered owners and servers! Even the other customers were some of the most pleasant people I’ve encountered since moving to Anchorage this summer. I’m from New York (of course I got the NY dog) and I’ve lived in Koln Germany, so sitting outside in the chilly weather eating my beautifully presented hotdog (NY) and hot fries (Germany) was nostalgic and soul warming. They have a heater and smiles if you want to dine in the outdoor seating. I’m looking forward to trying more items. I love this place and love that it already feels like a local spot as I find my go to places in the neighborhood.
Located right next to the bike rental shop. I got The Frankenstein and I liked it. If I ever return to Anchorage I'd go back again.
It was our first time to eat here and we love everything from the delicious hotdogs with reasonable price up to cheerful and welcoming staff. This place is highly recommended. Kudos to all your wonderful staff. We will surely come back when we visit Anchorage again. Stay safe and God bless
If you are going to call yourself IHoHD, you better have some good dogs and they do. The service is quick and friendly. Their options include regular hot dogs plus reindeer sausage and kielbasa, plus lots of toppings. After 22 miles on the coastal trial being next to the bike rental shop didn't hurt either, but we would have gone there anyway. There's nothing like a good hot dog to hit the spot.
Wow, if you love hot dogs like I do, this is the place to go! I had the Polish beef hot dog, and it was fantastic! I wanted a standard, all beef hot dog, but they weren’t on the menu. So, I tried the Polish dog, and really liked it! I should’ve ordered two!! Try this place, you’ll love it.
Service was great and the Alaska Reindeer Hotdog and BBQ fries were excellent! Definitely worth their $
My first time visiting so I asked the guy for his recommendations he said the Frankenstein. As he read off the ingredients it didn't sound too appealing to me but he promised it was the best so I took him up on it. I ordered the Frankenstein and the fries with garlic parmesan on them. It was delicious!! So glad I trusted him. I recommend everyone stop here for at least one meal!
I read about this before we traveled to Alaska. My husband loves hot dogs so I thought to go here just for him. But I LOVED it! The variety of choices is creative and yummy. The line was a bit long but it was quick and when you got to the window, the service was great. I felt like I was the only person in line as I was greeted with a genuine friendly hello and how can I help. The hot dogs in the photos on their website are so beautiful and they are just as beautiful as the photos in real life. More importantly they are yummy... love the fries too! My husband has the Hawaiian and I had the Alaskan. Wish we weren't all the way in Virginia and could drop by to try another. ALSO, this was perfect for when we were visiting since no inside dining was allowed in Anchorage at the time. This business was built for COVID restrictions since it's all outside, but I would choose to go here regardless. Anchorage is lucky to have IHOH!

Today, May 22nd, I decided to try International House of Hotdogs. I have wanted to try it in the past but procrastinated and neglected to do so. Located downtown in a little space was a trailer with a large colorful IHOH logo, benches and a flag waving “Hot Dogs.” A few people were sitting with their families and eating away, traffic on the walkway in front, and just a nice atmosphere welcoming anyone to come and take a look at the menu posted under the pavilion. I was able to quickly order an Asian $9 and a Texan $9 and was given a buzzer, by a very polite employee, for when my order was ready. After a few moments I realized “I wanted them vegetarian!” I quickly went to the window and not a problem, the order was easily updated. They tasted great and were better than I expected!! I didn’t stay and eat and took them to go. There are benches and seating there so you can eat. The menu has kids options, veggie options, fries in variety, and lots of options. Try this place, you won’t regret it!
