I had the "Papa D burger" it had a nice layer of fried cheese on top of the fixings so they DID NOT slide off the burger....... brilliant/genius.It had jalepenos and bell peppers and another pepper with pepper jack cheese and some mayo tomato and lettuce and onion. It was great. The store is located next to the pawn shop on Spenard and Benson . It was 14 for burger 3.50 for fries and 7.50 for a 10 piece nugget. Totalling over 25 bucks.A little more expensive than McDonald's but the burger was original so...... oh well. It was a beautiful funny day with blue skies and white fluffy clouds ⛅ ? ?.If you are In Anchorage Alaska and hungry for a unique burger then this may be your next venture.I have included images for your convenience.♿ ♿ ♿ ACCESSIBLEthere are no steps from the car to the dining area so if your in a wheel chair you should be OKAY.♿ ♿ ♿ ? ? ?NOTE: HELPplease help my GOOGLE Local Tour Guide status by liking this review if it was helpful to you. A staple in Anchorage, AK, burgers are soooo flavorful!!! Please try the Double Musky carrot cake & you can thank me later ?
Tommy's wasn't around when we were growing up (or we just didn't pay attention). We were looking for something quick as we were exploring midtown (Benny's was closed ?) but we see this burger spot. Let me tell you their Aloha Burger was Awesomesauce ?!!! Like my son said "their Aloha Burger put the Banzai to shame." We shared and order of onion rings and fries because trust me, even for 3 people, you don't need that much side. The service was fast. If you are lucky enough to snag a table inside, you see your food being cooked, smelling all those tasty patties makes you crave it even more. Now let me warn you it is very filling but soooo worth it. It's so cute too that if you are picking up your order they write your name on a dry erase board posted on the window #keepspenardweird yeah. This is another foodie stop must try if visiting Anchorage.
Great local burger spot. The reviews for this place are so good and totally justified. I had a cheeseburger and fries and a chocolate shake and was great.Service was also pretty fast even though it was busy.
Just ok for me. Got a cheeseburger after being told they are the best here. It was good, but not something that would make me come back. The carrot cake needed more flavor and it was like the bottom was slightly burnt on the small corner piece I was given. The onion rings I would come back for, those were amazing. Might try again in the future, hoping this experience was just a bad night for them. 1 out 3 items being good ?♀️
Best burger in Anchorage 365 days a year but April 20th doughnut bacon cheese burger is a little extra special!
Service was fast and friendly. Many types of burgers on the menu. The burger tasted good but the quality of meat was just ok. Prices are a bit high for quantity/quality of food.
Great food, awesome service.
The burgers were OK (not cajun seasoned as stated on their website/menu) and the onion rings were your basic, frozen onion rings. Nothing to come back for.
I had to take my teen daughter and her friends somewhere after skating in Anchorage. I didn't know the area but a local told me if we wanted burgers then we'd have to try this local place. It doesn't look like much on the outside but its so neat inside with all of this eclectic stuff hanging off the walls. The staff was great and gave us the run down of the menu. You order and then wait in the car for your name to be written on the white board in the window. The burgers were real patties and they were stacked. The fries were so good. Not sure what spice they use but it added something. The chocolate shakes tasted a little like a frosty...good but not on par with the rest of the food.
