Always enjoy this special tea shop and eatery. Unique gift items and oh the Samovar tea! A samovar glazed donut and a fireweed glazed donut with a cup of delicious coffee was such a treat!
Samovar tea samples got me hooked! Ha wonderful little shop and some neat items throughout. Will definitely be back!
Definitely one of the cutest giftshops in town! Carries local art and many neat knickknacks.
Okay, seriously, this is the absolute BEST tea I've ever tasted I'm my entire life! If you're in the area, you MUST stop by and try a sample of the "Samovar Tea!" This stuff is so good it should be illegal! Friendly staff, too, and lots of cool Alaska souvenirs.
A really great unique store with super amazing and friendly staff! Many many many beautiful and unique pieces! Too many at that - I couldn't make up my mind for a while and wanted to buy A LOT but reason prevailed!Alaska should be renamed to "The State with the Most Friendly People!"
Came by for coffee, tea and smoothies and found a cute shop also. Full of stuff, not just Alaska souvenirs. Fun vibe. We’ll be back!
I have been coming here ever since I was a child, and even now it still feels like a special occasion when I stop by. It is the best place for gifts and you can always find something special and new. Their tea and candy selection is amazing and the vibe is very quirky and fun!
I know they’re in the middle of tourism central, but I really like going to the Kobuk for coffee and a fireweed-glazed old fashioned doughnut. I hate crowds and can count on one hand the number of places in downtown anchorage I frequent during tourist season. The Kobuk is at the top of my list. They make their own baked goods and they are phenomenal. Fireweed is a really hard flavor to get right. It’s so subtle and easy to overpower. Too concentrated or too much sugar and it’s ruined. Not enough and you can’t taste it. Whatever combination the Kobuk uses in their fireweed glaze is magical and everyone should experience it. Just please don’t go on Sundays at around noon. That’s usually when we make our weekly pilgrimage and, you know, crowds.
Watch your receipts and bank accounts!!! I was double charged at the kobuk and now I can’t get my money back!! Won’t ever be going back
Take your business anywhere else. I’ve shopped here many times and have enjoyed the teas and coffee. Unfortunately, I experienced discrimination today and will not be returning. Zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind ✌️
