While it is a very beautiful place to eat, the staff was slow to respond in every way. They have many dishes on the menu. I ordered the hot and sour halibut which was so deep in sauce it was all you could taste. For the price of each plate, up in the mid $20s, one would think that real silverware would come with the food. They serve these dishes with flimsy plastic ware. If you want very good food, go elsewhere. We were dissatisfied!
Food and service were great!
Arrived to check in with our paid hotel confirmation made through Alaska Airlines. Desk clerk would not honor it, so had to pay again for the night. Room was not clean and maid banging at the door at 8:30 am woke us up asking to clean. Hotel seems to be having problems.
OK "lodge" ... needs updating and more attention to being cleaned. We just needed a place to stay near the airport. Good deal for the money and free shuttle. Front desk staff helpful. Restaurant on site, food typical of a hotel restaurant. Busy street outside, very noisy indoors. Poor heating/cooling.
I make it a point not to eat at hotels, given no choice because of circumstances, this reinforced that belief. Service was ok, i'm giving everyone a break these days, but the fish tacos were non-descript, bland, just ok.
The room was very dusty when we checked in for a week's stay. The closet shelf had huge "dust bunnies" and the furniture had a layer of dust I could write in. The tub backed when using the shower but they fixed it almost immediately upon being informed. The housekeeping staff only came around every other day and even though the linens were replaced, trash removed and a slight vacuuming performed the dust was never cleaned. The halls and rooms were almost unbearably hot. The heat in our room was turned off yet we had to open the window (it got to 28 degrees overnight) AND turn on the a/c just to get to 74 degrees in the room, which was still too warm. The meeting room on the 3rd floor was clean and comfortable. The restaurant staff at breakfast were pleasant but really slow.
Horrible service. Especially from Tyler. Don't ever expect to get any service if you sit in his section!

Must do in Anchorage! Sit outside in the summer and watch the floatplanes take off and land with a great local draft beer and really good appetizers!
The layout can be quite frustrating, but you get to your room eventually. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. They had everything you might need. Staff was very nice. Shuttle drivers were exceptionally helpful. You can go to the restaurant or the windows on the 2nd or 3rd floor and see the float planes fly in and out which was very interesting.
