After being in Alaska for nearly a decade, I have missed out on some foods that I grew up with. The other day I was having a conversation with some friends who informed me that there are restaurants, and not just families, that serve moussaka locally. So I had to try it! I went online to their site, it was before they were open for the day, and they had an option to order ahead of time. So I placed my order of Moussaka, and side fries, and pressed the order button. You can pay online or wait to pay at the store, I did the store. I arrived the package was wrapped in a paper bag and quickly paid. The staff, family-friendly, informed me of other places that served moussaka in town. When I got home and began to eat the food it was pretty good. Huge serving! Small restaurant. I am not sure if they have inside dining but the food is still worth it. I would recommend them for their moussaka and I am sure the pizza would be the same.
I've been ordering here for years without issue so this review is more in good fun than anything.Ordered a half and half with no cheese on one side, came with cheese. (No big deal, said cheese can be removed. My lady doesn't like cheese on pizza, hence the request. Again, no big deal).Also ordered a "side" of fries. I certainly did NOT expect enough fries to feed a family of 4????????????.5 stars as always.That 5 pounds of fries made my day?????Thank you!

Ordered a Gyro pizza and wasn’t impressed. Smells pretty bad. It has a smelly gelatin cut in thin slices. The thin crust is way to thin, the yogurt on top was disgusting and sower. The tomato slices where think as hell and did not blend well with the Yogurt or the gelatinous slices. I actually ordered 2 of the same and ended up tossing them. Wasted 50 dollars.
I don’t leave many reviews but Sparta deserves a good one. This is about our 5th order with them and the pizza is on point! Great crust, sauce, cheese, everything is delicious. One of the best pizzas in Anchorage. Seen bad reviews about the prices and don’t agree. Unless you want some cheap nasty pizza this is about average pricing.
We used to love Spartan pizza. We just moved back to Anchorage and went to order tonight. We couldn't believe their prices and how expensive they were. Several small pizzas were between $17-$24... for a small! I don't know if they are still good, but they are not that good. It was going to cost us $50 to buy two small pizzas for our family. We didn't and went with another place.
I called 1 & half hours after ordering because Food was never delivered. when I called the person that answered said that the food was never made and kind of laughed about it, this is not the first time ordering, but because I'm not sure if they'd retaliate and do something to my food, I wont order again and we ordered often from Sparta. Food is actually good there, maybe going in would be good, it maybe harder to miss making an order?
I have been a repeat customer of Sparta Pizza of over the years, but I don’t know if I can support them after this. I placed an order online for a pizza and it said it would arrive by 8:00pm. By 8:15pm, the pizza did not arrive. I called and asked what was going on and the nice lady at the front said they did not see my order come through and no food was prepared. ?Not sure if I trust these guys enough to place another order with them.
delicious food, easy online ordering and customizing, fast friendly delivery. the delivery people are super friendly.
Want that good this time, but maybe was my choice of items. Their chefs mistake is awesome (not what I got this time).
