Great food, service, coffee and atmosphere. We went for brunch mid-morning Sunday. The place was busy but no wait. Everyone was nice and quick and the food was delicious!

Came here on recommendation and very pleased that we did so. Great drinks, fun and friendly service, and phenomenal food. Things come out fast and loaded, so come hungry.Peanut butter pie is no question the best dessert. Fish and chips and salmon seafood risotto were great and the hash and French dip were amazing. Def will be back!
We always look for great local breakfasts when traving and this is high-ish end brunch place with creative cooking, awesome bakery and happy atmosphere. Plenty of different options for all diets. Highly recommend!
Great environment and good staff. Parking is shared but plenty. Good coffee house with good coffee.But, the service is very very slow and come with pre long long waiting to get a table. At some point of time we thought all that was not worth of that much wait.Might visit coffee house but not the restaurant.
The location is a little hidden and on the far Southside of town- hence the name..? Yet it is TOP 3 of my favorite restaurants of all time.. not just in Alaska. The staff was very pleasant and drinks/food was prompt. NO liquor till 10am for all you day drinkers.(me included?) When we got our food I was in AWE!! The presentation was on point. TASTE WAS A 10 out of 10. I will be coming back over and over.
One of the best places for brunch in Anchorage!! There was a 15min wait for a table but they take your number and text so that you don't have to wait around the door. The food was well worth the wait. Had a couple vegetarian dishes and some drinks which were all beyond great but the "Pecan Sticky Bun" was the highlight of the day and easily the best I've had in my life.
This establishment has consistently gone down hill since the 2020 Today the had more than half The restaurant available for seating - but the host claimed Is was at least 45 min wait, due to staff kitchen staff shortage. We as a consumer can understand staff shortages - but to us that would NOT mean not fill the seats. As long as you communicate to the patron and get them some drinks in front of the patrons - many - yes MANY of us are willing to wait to get food. We are done with this establishment as there are so many other choices in town and South Restaurant consistently makes poor choices!
Vodka breaded Alaskan Halibut was very good. Onion soup was OK. I was full before I started it. Hotly totty (drink) wasn't my favorite. They don't have sweet Tea! ?
