What wonderful people. Great atmosphere and fantastic coffee and pastries. From the outside it looks very interesting and inviting. Once inside, the charming owners make you feel like family. We went twice today it was so good.

This is a great coffee shop - we had breakfast here - the coffee was superb, the biscuits (scones for the Brits) were hot from the oven and excellent, and the environment was unique. For less than the cost of a corporate Starbucks you can have better coffee in this great space.
This coffee shop, a long-time favorite with our Anchorage hosts, won us over with its excellent coffee, its delicious pastries, its retro ambiance, and its old-fashioned hospitality. The owners, George and Debra, do the work themselves. Besides pastries Debra makes a Guinness cake she offers only at the holidays. (Our thoughtful hosts had saved us some.) It was wonderful!

Wow this place is a treasure. The owners are the loveliest people, the atmosphere is so cozy, and the coffee is excellent. We’ve gone 3 days in a row, and if we were staying longer, we’d go those days too.
We love to find and support local places. Nice, quiet place for breakfast. The quiche was some of the best we've ever had!
George and Deb are as amazing as their coffee. Great food too! Side Street is more than a café, it's an experience.
