I ordered the crab cake burger and it arrived fast. But when I took it bite into it, it mostly tasted like oil. I ask what type of crab it was and the waitress told me it was imitation crab. When I asked if I could replace it for a different burger, she told me that because I already bit into it that I'm not allowed to replace it. And that "it's not her problem." Worst service. That is not the way to treat customers.
Not gluten free by any stretch of the imagination. Otherwise it's a decent place in Anchorage to eat ?
For a ticky-tacky little place this restaurant has really good food. We had just eaten crab cakes on a cruise ship and the crab cakes here were even better. My son-in-law ordered 22 take home because he wanted them for breakfast lol! The fish was also quite good and the vegetables.
Good food, very friendly customer service. It's a hole in the wall place, but don't let that fool you. There is a variety of yummy choices, and the restaurant is exceptionally clean. The ladies restroom was spotless.My husband and I ordered the fried cod, fried and grilled shrimp, sauteed vegetables, and steak fries. It was all very tasty. We'd definitely return.
best catfish I've had in anchorage! friendly service, family atmosphere, not a long wait for food, and the entire family loved their meals. can't wait to go back already!
Amazing food! Great variety of seafood choices at a great price. Simple atmosphere without being super fancy. Just great food with great service.
It was a lot of food at a lot of price. Fried halibut sandwich good but not the best Ive ever had. Maybe Anchorage is just more expensive than I am used to. I wanted to support local merchants though and you can do that here..
I've been eating here off and on for years when it was the original owner and with the new owner. I find the food still as tasty as it was before!! I ordered the halibut Caesar salad and the two piece chicken meal. The habit was cooked great! Their Caesar dressing was good just the perfect amount. And the chicken was grilled perfectly still juicy. It's not fancy and still has that Mom and pop vibe. Great quick meal for the locals. Very affordable, clean and pleasant place to eat.
Been here before and had the fried fish, clams and calamari were very good and the tartar sauce was divine ( IN THE PAST) ! Today we called and got an order of cod , clam strips, and calamari. Everything was not seasoned there was not one grain of salt it had no taste it was just bread fish with no flavor and calamari with too much bread with NO salt! The tartar sauce is disgusting taste like mustard and Mayo am grease ….the new cook must have never heard of salt before or any seasoning of that matter. Will never come back so ,dissatisfied.
Deep fried halibut was great. Grilled Scallops were very tiny and almost tasteless. Jumbo size deep fried shrimp were very good. As we walked out I saw customers eating large bowls of thick clam chowder soup so next time I will have that with a deep fried halibut burger. Overall food was fast and good with plenty of tables to sit and relax or take out. I would recommend.
