The service we received was phenomenal. Very nice staff and the food was great!

Had brunch on a Sunday and was very delicious. You order at the counter before sitting down, take a number and then find a table. I had the breakfast sandwich and kids bramble berry French toast and was good size to eat as a meal if you're hungry. Also had an iced Americano with almond milk that was strong and good flavor of espresso. Everyone in my group liked their food and I would definitely recommend. Service was slow but they were pretty busy and they got all our orders correct.

Nina smoothie was fruity but slightly sour with the yogurt. Morning Glory smoothie was good but needed to be mixed better.

Really wanted to give this one 5 stars as the food was good but the customer service ruined it. Ordered a Reuben and the response was, do you want salsa with that?” Nope, thanks. Continued to order and asked if they had fries. Was told that was only a breakfast item…who knew!? Asked if the sandwich had chips or something and response was a sarcastic, “yeah, that’s why I asked if you wanted salsa!” So…the Reuben comes with tortilla chips, which were good, but on what planet should one assume a Reuben automatically comes with those or without that knowledge, think salsa was a normal accompaniment!? Had good gluten free and vegan options but needs a customer service realignment!

Locals know there’s always going to be a wait for good food, especially in summer, but Middleway is one of those rare joints that fall in the “worth the wait” column. Inventive and thoughtful menu items that are well-made, and mostly good for you; pastries and other treats to satisfy your sweet tooth; and a quality coffee bar whether your eating in or just passing by. Great outdoor seating in the summer; cozy indoor seating the whole year around.

Food was really. I liked that you order and pay and then sit down. Also appreciated their attention to quality food (organic eggs and real maple syrup among other things.) Staff thought my reindeer joke was funny so that’s a plus! Took a star because I ordered sautéed veggies and they have us what looked like 2 day old steamed veggies. Everything else was good though.

Just got back up to Anchorage and Middle Way was one of my first stops. As a vegan who likes GOOD vegan options, Alaska can be a little challenging, but Middle Way never disappoints. As a bonus, they have local Alaskan art on the walls.I can definitely recommend the vegan breakfast burrito and Tropic Thunder smoothie. The best part though was the people working there. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful- the man taking orders, the barista and the man with a bun who seemed to be some sort of manager.Support local business and eat here!

friendly atmosphere, decent food

This restaurant could easily be number one as the food is dependably good. When we are in town my husband always votes to go there for an avocado melt. I admit they are wonderful but whomever is in charge has failed to work out the kinks so you get your food in a timely manner. It’s easily 30-45 minutes from order to receiving your food. If you look at the clients, it’s mostly friends meeting up for a good visit with food as a part of the occasion or singles using the time to work while waiting for their meal. We wouldn’t recommend going if you are within a time frame as this restaurant is dependably slow. Delicious but slow.
