great breakfast burger cooked to perfection! soft bun, amazing taste. fries were thin and fresh, perfect amount of salt. friendly service. a great little diner that's been around since 1953. Classic decor! A great place!
Went here with some buddies After a long flight in. We got the chicken sandwich which was money!! Gotta get it, also the waitress recommended the shake. We highly recommend that strawberry shake if you are human. Everyone must try that no exceptions at all. Trust me on that! If you hate it you might have issues ..
always good chicken ? i wish the prices were better but i still enjoy that great taste.
My signifcant other is a native of Anchorage, and brought us here as an example of local food. Restaurant is just off one on the city's military bases. Food was great. Seemed to be a good price/value on Anchorage scale (food there seems normally more expensive than lower 48, and recent inflation may make things seem out of line with home). I had a Chicken Salad sandwich that was made using the "house chicken". It was probably one of the best sandwich of that type that I've had. Serving of fries with meal was more than I could eat. Kids meal seemed to also be a great value.
If the menu were more first-timer friendly, this review would be 5 stars. In a world of ho-hum deep fried me-too chicken, this chicken was phenomenal. White gravy on the mashed potatoes was also exceptional. Very large portions. Waiter was friendly and attentive.

Wow this place is known for its great chicken, they do offer other items and they are probably just as renowned for their hamburgers and extra thick shakes.
Very delicious chicken and shakes! Real ice cream I think for the shakes. The music was all the classic oldies and the tables and spaces were clean and well taken care of. We love classic old diners and this one is a gem!
I'm from the south, and their pulled pork sandwiches are the best BBQ I have found in the city!The corn bread and chicken is great too!My only complaint is their so good that they need a bigger building and parking lot since their so popular and busy, and a better drive-thru system.Highly recommend them!
This place is soooo yummy! Amazing milkshakes, fried chicken and much much more! Call when you get in the drive thru and it will be ready when you pick up. You can also order a 30 piece chicken meal if you have a group to feed. Great Anchorage gem!
