Not sure why everyone is hyping this place up! Ok got it, margaritas are big but the food was horrible. Chips and salsa was trash, bland tomato sauce favor. Portion of the food was small and charging a whopping average of $22-$30 dollars a plate. Come on really…authentic Mexican food? For those calling authentic, you all must be the same folks calling Taco Bell authentic and it shows. Shame. Make Mexican food great again please!

A couple of older Australians walk into this restaurant and straight away recall a trip to Mexico City in the mid 1980s. And they were not disappointed. Top shelf. Must fit in another visit before departing for home.

The menu has three taquitos. Which I thought they where rolled and fried like flautas. But they where chicken tacos. The chicken was cold.I told this guy that I thought there were the rolled ones. He laughed and said no, then Said enjoy. They had flautas on the menu. He didn’t even ask me to switch them.Total garbage place.

Fantastic fresh & authentic Mexican food. Staff were friendly, helpful & professional. Had my first ever Margarita (Pomegranate) during our first meal here. We both loved the food, drinks & staff so much that we ending up eating here 4 times during our 7 day stay on Anchorage. 3 dinners and a late lunch. If looking for really fresh and affordable Mexican food in downtown Anchorage, then this is definitely the place to come to. You know you're on to a good thing when a lot of customers are very familiar with all of the staff. Variety of meal options, including vegetarian. I would also suspect that they could make at least several of the options vegan, if someone requested it. Really glad that we found this restaurant by accident. It was a very pleasant surprise. Thanks to the staff for some fantastic foodie memories.

Stopped in for dinner before 9pm on a Tuesday. At most, 12 customers in restaurant. When the staff was slow to recognize that I was waiting for a table was a good indication of the experience to come.Service was slow, staff attitude rather indifferent When I pointed out that an item was missing from my order, I had finished the rest of my meal and no one followed up until I pointed this out when someone came to present the check. The "short on staff" excuse for slow and poor service is getting old not only here, but everywhere.

Sorry to say, but when you have the nerve to charge $4.25 for a fountain soda in a 12oz glass full of ice, don't tell me you can't refill it more than twice. It might cost you a dime at best to fill the cup. I know it's a profit center for you, but there's no need to get ridiculous.

Better inside than it looks from the outside and was pretty busy for a Tuesday night. Food was good and reasonably priced. Service was a bit hurried/indifferent. There were only two front of house staff doing everything, including taking care of the bar. Didn't like that the drinks menu had no prices. The two margaritas we ordered were large but also quite pricy when we got the bill at 14 USD apiece. It was also a bit odd that when we finished our main courses we were given the bill without being asked if we wanted another drink or dessert and we weren't in their late.

Staff is really great here. But every time we have been here, the Spanish rice is very dry and too hard. Did not like the refried beans this time, had an old fishy taste like it was cooked in the wrong pan?

Went in for dinner today, the waitress & other staff were nice but food itself lacked in flavor. Wasn’t hot when it came out and was super let down with the chips & dip (which was just barely melted shredded cheese on tortilla chips with a small side of guac)Long story short nice environment and employees but it was way overpriced for the quality received, you’d be better off going to Taco King.

Nice staff, seemed to be overpriced. Some nice artwork. Nice sit down vibe..however the place was a little expensive for the quality. It seemed to be a watered down version of true Mexican. Maybe I am wrong but I have eaten ceviche many times in my life and never has it come on top of a bed of (way to much) lettuce. My wife's food was also just so so. To the point I don't even remember it. It also took forever to place our order. I was waiting with the menúes down for what seemed an eternity. Maybe they are good for cocktails of which we didn't get any.
