Same recipes for 3 decades with reasonable prices. I used to go weekly but moved from Anchorage two decades ago. My favorites are still there and taste the same.
As I walked into the area I asked the server that I was picking up for a customer’s order and she responded back door. Say I don’t know where the back door is. I asked somebody else and she quoted that person does not work here you have to go around the back door I said no I never picked up here before. So where’s the back door I asked and she didn’t responded stumped off with a nasty Attitude and start waving her hands in the air. She seemed very mad like I done something to her this is very unprofessional they have no customer service skills the way staff was dressed so in professionally and the environment was unpleasant.
Great food, authentic family dining experience. The live music is a definite welcome after a long day exploring the local area. They're also open until 2am.
We arrived at the Captain Cook late because of a 2 hour mechanical delay on our plane. It was 11PM and all the restaurants that where open where fill with late night patrons. So we decided to order a pizza from Guidos. They where fast and our pizza was delicious. I definitely enjoyed every bite.

Amazing food and atmosphere! Large dining area, live music on a few nights out of the week, and great ownership! Also yours truly is now employed there proving amazing service every time. Come see us and have a great meal!
I’ve been ordering from Guido’s for over 30 years!!!!! It IS THE BEST pizza place in town. I read a previous review. HOW can someone complain of TOO much cheese??! REALLY??? Your complaint isTOO much???

So, overall the food is absolutely divine. It's the only redeeming quality and the only thing keeping the star rating from going down.My issue:I had a split payment order. I ordered my food for me and my family, and like I do with all my other deliveries, I was going to pay the tip in cash because it's easier for me since every other delivery method I've used (UberEats, Instacart, and the like) don't actually take out the tip until after the delivery is completed.As I was going to do with this since I've never ordered from this establishment before, I had money in hand ready to go. BUT the VERY FIRST WORDS OUT OF MY DELIVERY DRIVER'S MOUTH WERE "Was there a reason you didn't tip? I deliver for Guido's and I promise you no one will be taking your order again because you didn't tip." I couldn't believe it wasn't even a hello, it was a demand and then demeaning because I wanted to give the driver cash instead of using my card...It was an extremely uncomfortable experience and if that's the level of quality I'm getting, I don't think I want this added to my rotation.
Really, really good pizza. The interior is MUCH larger than you expect if you go in and sit down. The back-door pick up order is a great option. It's quick and easy. Highly recommended for quick take out or parties.
