We asked someone who lives in Anchorage where to go for our one night there before heading north and this was the #1 recommendation. Who were we to argue so we went. It was a little pricy but the food was prepared very well, especially the fish, which is what we wanted. The atmosphere is "Alaskan" even though it is downtown and you wouldn't think so from the outside.

This is a huge restaurant just cranking out the dishes for mostly tourists. We first tried to get into F Stop a locals place but the wait is forever. Awesome kids menu for $10.95 with tons of choice and good potion size that includes drink, fruit cup or veggie sticks and a drink. Now for adults the highlight was the craft beers they do on sight. All very good. Food just below average in our opinion other than the seafood chowder that was good. Paid $40.95 for the smallest piece of encrusted halibut that came out Luke warm at best. Will not repeat.

The food was excellent and the service was great. Heather was delightful and helpful to share local knowledge. We had a great time.

Excellent!!! The seafood chowder was wonderful.....halibut fish and chips platter was abundant and best I have ever had! The service was great, staff warm and friendly. Recommend a reservation. You won't regret your choice.

Glacier Brewhouse is our go to restaurant for our final meal in Anchorage before returning home. Great noisy atmosphere terrific quick service and good food.

We had both a lunch and a dinner at the Glacier Brewhouse. For lunch I had the Alaskan Salmon BLT Salad, which was very good. The staff for lunch was very helpful. We went back for dinner a few days later and had the Salmon which was also very good, however the server was not very pleasant and seemed to not want to be there, which was unfortunate. Also, the beers that we had were also good.

This was our first time in anchorage, Alaska. We ate at the glacier brew house for our first restaurant when we got there. It was delicious we didn’t have reservations so we got lucky to find a seat in the bar area. I got to say my husband I enjoyed our dinner.

We split the brew house blue salad and the brewer’s pie pizza. Salad was not mixed greens as advertised, but an iceberg salad that was still good. The pizza was great! Good selection of local beers.

My husband and I flew in from Minneapolis and wanted a causal but good lunch, you know what I mean..not fancy but good, delicious food. Well we hit the nail on the head with this spot. The atmosphere is fantastic with an attached little brewery (hence the name), we pulled up some bar seats and enjoyed, I had the grilled salmon and my husband had the French dip, would highly recommend both if you find yourself looking for a good spot in Anchorage.

My husband and I are having a horrible time lately that inevitably our meal comes immediately after our appetizer is delivered after we’ve barely had a bite or two after appetizer. Brewhouse did not disappoint in this area. They actually exceeded expectations in that area. They didn’t serve us our salmon dip at all and they brought the soup at the exact same time as the meal. ? Happily the meal did not disappoint. The seafood chowder was the best my husband has ever had. It made his heart sing. ? The seafood medley - scallops, shrimp and salmon was good. Sadly, our friends had the salmon dip and she said it was the best she ever had. They said the fresh smoked salmon was on the bottom and all the yummy goodness that enhances the fish to make it the dip was on top and you stir it together and it, along with the bread was mouthwatering. But I wouldn’t know and maybe never will. ? And I’m a fish dip fan. So disappointing.
