Positively the best Italian I have had in years! Everyone had a great meal! All were different. I had the Fiori Sicilian it was a total delight! Eggplants, bell pepper, onion, capers and anchovy in a marinara! I wish I had the recipe. The Halibut with penne pasta was my friend’s choice. It was really good! My wife had a pasta with cram sauce! She commented it was so good, she could have it again! Do not miss the bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The deserts were also to die for! Our only regret…they are closed tomorrow!
Great food and outstanding atmosphere. Had the spaghetti ? and meatballs very good. Come early it's a busy place to visit.
I travel to Anchorage regularly on business and this is always one of my stops. Love this place. I’ve had some of the slow experience as other have noted but the food is worth the wait as they cook to order. The bar is in my top 5. Try the old fashioned. I always get the veal parm and it’s fantastic!!
Well worth the wait, and the portions are generous! Food came out at a reasonable pace after being seated. Staff was polite and friendly. I only wish there was tiramisu for dessert available.
Yes, it was a little bit of a wait. After reading the reviews I expected the worst, but be actually didn’t wait an unreasonable amount of time to be seated. Maybe we got lucky, but I was thrilled to get in and get a table. We were told when we sat down that we couldn’t put our order of food in right away but my husband and I wanted to have some cocktails while we waited anyway, so we were not planning to rush in and rush out regardless. We both had the single barrel old fashioned, they were perfect, so smooth and tasty. My daughter and her friends had the cheese ravioli, they all finished their plates, they enjoyed it. I had the Penne Alla Albanezi, I absolutely loved it, the roasted peppers, artichokes and green olives were delicious, just the right amount of spice. My husband had the lasagna. He finished his plate with out complaint. I loved the atmosphere. It was very calm and cozy. Just very comfortable and inviting. I hear they have events, bourbon tastings maybe. We’ll probably try it one day. I had a wonderful experience here for my daughter’s 24th birthday. Thank you. Some people left with out waiting…. I’m so happy we stayed. Not a bad wait at all on this night :)
First time there.Pros: calm and relaxing atmosphere, tasty cocktails ?and garlic bread, good service once we got it.Dislike/needs improving (personal opinion): The red sauce was rather bland and cream sauce had odd flavor plus I was not a fan of the mushrooms used in it. I understand food takes longer time to receive because sauces are made to order. I think that's why flavor is lacking. Sauces need to simmer and marinate over time. I personally like lots of seasoning and garlic in my red sauce which it did not have.Several people there so maybe the food is good to others. We was also not expecting noodles, carrots, corn, and peas n egg drop soup.
We had drinks, salad, steaks and escargot. All of our food was fabulous and cocktails were delicious. Yes, be patient, for the wait to get a table can be long. The family is busy, focused on their customers but, when their focus turns to you, you will be well cared for, too.
Family and I weren’t greeted, politely waited around the host table for 15 minutes then left. No one waiting around us was acknowledged during that time either which was a bad sign. The fact the server/hostess avoided eye contact with everyone waiting made it clear they were all overwhelmed. Restaurant decor was strange as well.
Please don't get me started. It was our first time we came in for dinner Friday night. I'm not sure if they are usually as busy but the way they're handling the waiting crowd is amazing on many levels in a bad way. We stood in the doorway with other people who were waiting for two and a half hours. I'm not kidding you. They don't take your name nor do they give you an estimated time for when you might going to get your table. We managed to get a drink at the bar which was good and then we left.
They are rude, lie about reservations saying that they only take reservations then say they’ve never took them before. Yes they have good food but give them no right to treat people the way they do. They do not care for their customers or community. The owner responded to my review and said he didn’t know my direct concern and if you take some time to read the reviews for years they have been rude and mistreating customers they will ignore you when you walk in and even tell you that it’s going to be a 2-4 hrs wait and won’t seat you even though the restaurant only would have 2 tables occupied they pick and choose who they treat well based on what you look like age and if you have kids in your party. They accept carry out but only when they want to. But at the end of the day read the reviews they have good food but are not pleasant towards the customers I appreciate the owner responding but the generic we are great and blind to reality response is a little tasteless for “classy” Establishment you’re supposed to
