Our original waitstaff was cranky but it was likely due to a change in shift as our replacement was much friendlier and helpful. The beers were good, and the food was even better. Highlights were the French onion soup, crab sandwich on sourdough and the grilled halibut sandwich. The shrimp salad was a mixed greens salad with several grilled shrimp on top. Good value for the price paid.
Small spot , however after 15 hours of flying a pleasant meal was had . Very good crab Sammy and cheese burger. Beer was cold Drinks were properly made Friendly staff
Limited seating with seat yourself. Good food prepared from scratch with a nice variety of menu items. Good pricing and bar selections. No take out dining but will bring boxes for uneaten items to take home.
The service was awful as was the food. It was very obvious that our waitress was clearly miserable and made no attempt to hide it. All 5 of our meals, which were marginal at best, came out at different times. Some of us were finished eating before others received their meals. Not sure what the hype is about this place but it's not worth your time or money.
We came here after a quick fishing trip at ship creek. Even though we had big bags and fishing poles, we found a table quickly even though it was very busy. The Halibut sandwich with fries was delicious. And the ginger beer was refreshing. The history and charm of this bar makes it a wonderful spot when you visit Anchorage. It's not quiet, but it's a lot of fun.
Great food and service. Love the block of cheese on the bar.
Great food great atmosphere.
One of the best places in our tour of Alaska. Loved the cooks who were entertaining, amazing waitress, food that was hot and great tasting. Highly recommend if you are in Anchorage, make this a stop on your trip!!!
The food was amazing ... they always had a drink ready for me before my other one was finished which I like... hands down my favorite place I ate at in Alaska
I called several weeks before visiting to ask about their underage policy for dining and was told that minors could eat with their parents until 9:00 pm. Evidently staff does not understand their policy because we were rudley greeted outside by two men asking for our ids. My husband and I started to pull ours out and he boldly demanded everyone needed an id including our teenagers. I told them about my phone call and what I was told. They boldly said "nope 8:00!" They were rude about the whole ordeal. I suggested they review the policy with all employees. There are too many good places to eat to deal with terrible customer service.
