Used to be our favorite go to Mexican restaurant, especially for their halibut fajitas. Price went up (no surprise) for the halibut fajitas ($34) but was completely disappointed tonight. Starting with they didn't give us our salsa and chips we ordered ($10). Halibut pieces were small portioned and overcooked and overall without any flavor. My son found a long strand of hair in his chimichanga (bean and riced ordered but was mostly just rice). No clue what happened tonight as we've never had this many issues from previous take out from them. Super disappointed.
Great atmosphere. Loved eating outside. Lots of gluten free options. The food was tasty and the service was great! Have returned twice. We had the taco tray, enchiladas, chimichanga. Better be hungry or bring someone when you come, portions are huge!
Food was mediocre, margarita was okay. Taquitos tasted like they were sitting for awhile and then reheated. Margaritas were not what I was expecting. Nice warm chips and okay salsa though.

My wife and I wanted to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and decided that Don Jose's was a good choice. Truthfully, we had not been there in a while. We made it a late lunch, mid-afternoon, to try and avoid the larger crowds. Between the indoor dining and the outdoor patio wewere promptly seated. We were offered the customary chips and salsa. We requested 2 Cadillac margaritas and fried avocados with shrimp as an appetizer. The bartender at the time was a friendly young lady named Jackie; she brought us our drinks almost immediately. Not long after that our food order was taken and, again, not long after that our appetizer appeared. The avocado had been cut in half and battered and deep-fried. Some sort of Chipotle sauce and salad greens filled the seed void All topped off with a pleasantly seasoned shrimp. They were crispy on the outside and wonderfully creamy and rich on the inside - almost a meal in itself. Just as we finished those our food arrived. I ordered the seafood chimichanga and my wife the enchilada trio. The chimi was delicious, but huge. I only ate about a third and was full. My wife ate about the same amount of hers. Overall a wonderful meal. For dessert we opted for something less filling: two more margaritas. By the way, Jackie makes the best Cadillacs we've had in quite a while. This experience was awesome and we highly recommend Don Jose's for lunch or dinner (or even just a margarita).
Tried the taco wheel with a Dos Equis tonight. Lots of food. Each taco a different and well seasoned flavor. Meat was really tender, which is nice. Two of us split it with some to carry home. It was a nice experience overall
The food is good the restaurant is clean but do not work for this company. He will lie and promise the world but won't pay up when its time. He relocated us and did not do what he said and did not pay the room or find shelter for us even tho that was the deal. I have all the messages Ivan I will be turning them in. Your trash dude
