OMG! What a good time! People here are so fun! Stopped here on my way from the airport. People here really know how to show the "tourists" a good time. Made me feel welcomed!
Terrible service. Rude, loud, and argumentative servers that do nothing in the first place. Nasty, horrible, bitter, old women are employed here. Take yourself elsewhere if you’re downtown. Get drinks anywhere else! These servers are terrible, and below the level of what should be considered acceptable.
Drunk Aussies, puking in the alley, loud jukebox, locals, saucy waitresses: just what a dive bar should be.
Some of the best bartenders around. Small space and no taps are the complaint, but still a great place for getting drinks with friends.
I went to Anchorage for vacation MANY years ago with a friend of mine. After settling in the hotel, we walked to Darwins for a drink. It was fate! This place was so welcoming to say the least. We met so many ppl here. We're from International Falls Mn, and upon telling ppl this, the guy sitting next to me asked if I knew a certain person from the Falls. Yes! I did! Long story short, he put my friend and I up at his place for the entire time we were there. Thanks Guy Tangus! Darwins will always have a special place in my heart and will definitely go back when I visit beautiful Anchorage again. ✌

Loved the small bar atmosphere
We went here on a whim and had a great time. The bartender was very friendly and it was full of locals. We had a couple of beers and struck up conversations with some people. Great place to go outside of the normal breweries and restaurants.
Very friendly people and a good selection of Alaskan beers. The bar is also located in a convenient spot downtown, close to attractions and other nightlife. While they don't appear to have food, there's a popcorn machine in the back and a by-the-slice pizza joint next door.
