A lot of unique dishes I don’t see on the menu in Anchorage, there were a lot I wanted to try out but my stomach is only so big. Really fun place that looks great and has nice lighting. Went for early dinner and our food was so piping hot and tasted so good. Breading was fairly mild and the chicken was so juicy and soft. Thanks Robert for recommending the roasted shishito peppers as a pairing with the chicken, it worked out great. Blueberry cobbler was perfection with bourbon ice cream, just wish there was more crumble. Overall awesome experience. ❤️?
Friendly waitress, But my wait time was 1hour for dining in.. came on my lunch break and had to ask my food to-go at that point from the wait. I am unimpressed with this experience as DoorDash and to-go orders definitely took priority over people dining in. Came back to work and asked for an extended lunch to be able to eat, and food was very underwhelming unfortunately.
I was looking forward to a old style of “chicken fried Steak” and my first time of trying it with eggs - scrambled, and no mashed taters as a side …and a vegetable of some sorts
Ate here for the first time today with my kids. I got the Tennessee spicy chicken sandwich and it was okay. It looked delish but as soon as I started eating it the breading would fall right off making a huge mess and making it hard to eat. The chicken tenders did the same thing, breading fell right off. The sauce on the sandwich was bomb tho. What I did enjoy was the blueberry cobbler, it’s to die for! It’s pretty expensive to eat here too and the food doesn’t seem to justify the price IMO. The waitress was super nice tho and attentive so I’d definitely give her 5 stars! I’d come back for the cobble or cheese curds but that’s probably it.
Tried out The Chicken Shack!!Shack Tennessee Hot Chicken!!Upgraded to Firebird!!Was very pleasant and plenty of heat!!Opened up sinuses nicelyOrdered a side of Firebird for dipping the fries!!Loved the fries as well nice homemade varietyChicken Biscuit Sandwich with salad
Very delicious chicken and waffle sandwich, fried cheese curds, and bread pudding. Not upscale per se, but much nicer than a shack
We just heard about this place so decided to give it a go. I tried the Tennessee Hot Chicken sandwich and was pleasantly surprised, had a good amount of kick for sure. The wife had chicken strips and waffles and they were cooked fantastic. Service was great. Will definitely try again.
I was here with my moms yesterday and had a great experience! I had fried chicken, willted greens with bacon, and biscuit with honey butter. Service was exceptional and food served fresh and hot. The place is comfortable, with a modern interior design. No shack about it --- it's bistro meets chicken-and-waffle fusion. I can't wait to try the brussels sprout and kale slaw in a waffle cone with salted peanuts or mac-n-cheese next.
This was my very first time but I had a great experience here. With great food, caring and attentive staff, and amazing atmosphere, this place goes the extra mile. Even the food presentation was good! Everything looked well made and cared for. We enjoyed every bite, even my super picky daughter! Rob made the outing much enjoyable with his professionalism and positivity. He genuinely seems like he loves being there and made my family feel very welcomed and comfortable!
The peach lemonade was delicious!! The food however doesn't taste nearly as good as it looks. I got the Sweet and Spicy waffle sandwich and I added spicy fried chicken to it. The food looks amazing and is cooked well but is lacking some serious flavor/seasoning. My chicken was juicy but all I could taste was spicy. The chicken had no real flavor and any flavor that came from the waffle was overwhelmed by the spicy sauce. It was actually a good amount of heat, but no flavor. Overall my lunch was very bland with the exception of the fries. Sadly, I won't go back. I can think of other places I'd rather go and spend $30 for lunch.
