This is my second favorite Carrs in town after Huffman. I don't usually have a problem finding what I need.
I first went to Carrs back in 1998 when I moved up to Anchorage for a summer to work after getting married. Since then it has been an institution in our family as we have purchased many groceries there at a reasonable price. Concerns that Safeway's takeover of this store would result in a lowering quality were happily unfounded. Quality, selection, and price remain consistent as they should. It would be nice if prices could come down, but that's a lot to ask of this economy. They have good service and service and they're open at good hours.
The staff are so friendly. They have an excellent selection and quality of meats, flowers, baked goods, and organic produce.
The employees that work there have all been wonderful. I do appreciate the baggers as they pay attention to how they pack a bag(each and everyone) . I have never had a damaged item
Best of the Carrs stores in Anchorage: friendly staff, great selection, and some of the best views in the entire city.
High prices even with carrs card. Most locations are old and in need of updating. But there shelfs are usually always stocked so when cheaper stores dont have what I want I know carrs usually has it.... 1 year later everything is the same so pretty consitant

I love Carrs produce here! I think Carrs has the freshest. I also loved the $5.00 while baked rotisserie chicken. The issue I have is on more than one occasion at 500pm there has been a little bit of chicken whether they are fried, baked, strips or fresh wings. That's primetime for people getting dinner ready. If there is some magic timing for these things, then I want to know. This is the Dimond Location I'm referring to as well as Minnesota drive locations.
It was pretty nice, imo I think trucks has em beat.
Everyone is friendly. It's a smaller store but, it's a nice relaxing place. Love shopping here
