Favorite coffee shop in town! Never have I ever had an issue here. The pace is timed well, the employees are always kind and genuine, they always do a good job on the coffee too! I've had hot coffees, mochas, frappes, lattes, red bull smoothies, lotus smoothies, Italian soda, you name it and I've never been dissatisfied! Best coffee shop in town!
It’s a pretty popular coffee shack in anchorage. However, it’s pretty clear that the baristas have no real expertise in coffee making. They make any other drinks really good, the shakes, the smoothies, the red bull soda drinks..however, they lack basic barista knowledge. Their coffee is super mediocre, and you’re better off just going to the actual kaladi brothers since those are the beans they use anyways. At least kaladis has trained baristas. Their cold brew taste incredibly sour and bitter and has a horrible after taste. They either over or under extract it. After drinking it my stomach had an almost immediate reaction. I think it’s just an over rated and hyped up coffee is shack, but it doesn’t have any value coffee wise, they have 0 idea what they’re doing when making any sort of coffee drink. They put so much more effort and time into all other sugary drinks. If you’re looking for a good latte or cold brew, this isn’t the place. Also wait times are ridiculous. Save yourself the trip if you’re looking for a good quality latte.
Service is always polite. Recently though, their red bull smoothies do not taste like red bull at all. I thought it was me. But I ordered it two times afterwards already. And it does not even touch the first time few times I've had it. I swear they're watering down their red bull. I want to ask if they are. But who wants to admit to cutting down costs?? I'm bummed not having the satisfying red bull flavor in my smoothie. I will go try other stands.3/28/22
I usually don’t leave reviews, but I went last night and me and my boyfriend pulled up to the window and we waited for about 5 mins until the guy came up to the window and said “ let me just finish making this order and then I’ll be right with you” so of course we waited. But then that car had left and another pulled in and they helped that person, then that person left and another car pulled in and they helped that person while we were still waiting to be helped. So we just left. I don’t know if the 2 guys were new but it really irritated me because boom always has amazing service, I just think it was the two guys who were working that night.
It’s normally really great here. The service is normally amazing, with friendly baristas and relatively fast service, for me anyways. The lines do get pretty long though. However my last visit I asked for a regular raspberry italian soda and I was given a REDBULL raspberry italian soda. I have heart problems and cannot have energy drinks and if I hadn’t noticed I could’ve hurt myself. Hopefully the next time I come here it’ll go by smoother.
Im doing dey january so i had their Stylish Water with cream. my girlfriend had an aqueous Martini with a calamta olive and slice of palma ham inside. our dog Black Phillip had a triple espresso with a knob of butter and hot cayen pepper.
Great drinks and great baristas. Also being open 24 hours is a huge plus.
This is by far one of my favorite places to get coffee but as of late the lines have been going rather slow. 3rd in line and 25 minute wait before I had to dip for work. Really frustrated there, I hope things get better.
I always paid $7.25 for a large Italian soda with no ice today it was 3$ more. Got very pricy as I am on a budget. They claim it’s cost more without ice. Last time I got ice it was same price no problem. But the cup was nearly filled to the top with ice. This threw me off guard.
