I was looking for smoked salmon and a good sausage to bring back home. Boy does this place have it at a fair price. My flight left at 11:45 pm that day. I told the worker Amber I had a late flight and she hooked me up. She put it in a freezer pack and the store has a freezer out side you put your stuff in to,so you can come back after hours to pick it up. Very friendly staff and very help full. Amber took the stress out of me thinking my stuff would go bad before I got home. Thanks Amber and keep up the great job,thanks Rickey

I received one of your gift assortments from a client in Alaska. It was shipped overnight from Alaska to Georgia. There's no words to describe how fantastic this package was! The packaging was amazing - the ice still frozen solid. And the goodies in side - OMG! We are so excited to share all of these wonderful products with our friends this weekend when we host our Christmas party at home. And, down in the south we have deer - the only time we talk about reindeer is when talking about the big guy. Two of the kids had to pause and think about eating reindeer meat. But we assured our 4-year old that you guys leave Santa's crew alone!!! Thank you so much for such an amazing assortment of Alaska goodies!

We would go here when I was a child. I love this place. They had the best stuffed pork chops. I'm 43 and can still remember they were so good! I know back in the day the owners wife was the one who made the stuffing and it was sooo good. I've often wondered if they can do shipping to the lower 48 lol
I would not recommend any hunters here after the bs given back to me on what we dropped off vs what I got back. The web site states that you get back your own meat when having raw sausage, ie, breakfast sausage or brats. We met the minimum weights and got back mixed meat, mainly caribou. We dropped off clean moose meat. So disappointed in the product given back to us and the fact that they don’t adhere to what is on their own website.
First off…Very clean shop! Does not stink! Clean tidy employees. I am pleased with the quality of the fish. They know how to pack/ship for your trip home. If you wanna catch a bus to this place for $4 or $5 round trip the 10 and the 35 both stop very close to this shop @ Arctic & Northern Lights (funny thing is pricing here is at a premium -PREMIUM- so the bus might be the only cheap part of the visit). -for ”fresh“ it’s like most grocers/butchers, they don’t have anything identifying catch date or processing date / freeze date. When I asked they said they know it’s from “this year”— which to me meant less than 9 months since it was Oct 1st.I spent about a week in Anchorage… throughout the week I kept my eye out for a place to get some fresh seafood to take home. On my last day there I told my buddy (who has lived in Anchorage for the past 13 years) …told him I wanted to stop at Alaska Seafood & Sausage. He wanted to come in and check it out too- he had never seen or heard of this place. I met 4 or 5 employees while I was there. (There was less than 10 customers while I was there too). One employee asked how I heard of this place. I said, “everywhere all week has been pointing me to this place, the hotel, Google, the maps, the tourism shop in 5th ave mall.” He replied, “oh good! That’s what I like to hear! That’s my job!” - he asked if I got everything I wanted- I let him know I would have loved to take some crab-probably woulda got some tuna if they had that too. Overall good experience. Thank you.
