Fantastic BBQ! The best in Anchorage. The ribs fell off the bone and the meat was tender and juicy. Complimented with coleslaw and beans, I could've been in foodie heaven. If you haven't tried AJ's, you have had BBQ and need to fix that today. Two things to note before you go1. It is a drive-through, perfect for food on the go2. It is cash only, you get a great value for the price and only need a $20 or two

Good food but cash only and not a big menu. A little spendy.

Conveniently located in the Abbott Loop area for us folks working from home. Just ordered a pork sandwich and it was great!

I’m from Alabama and anyone from the south can tell you that BBQ tastes different depending on the region it’s served. When I saw that Aj’s Rib A Go Go served Louisiana styled BBQ—I was excited to try them out.The older woman at the window who took our order was very sweet. Note: it is cash only. We didn’t pay attention to the sign while waiting to drive up and had to find an ATM.The BBQ itself was okay. Would try them again!

How I rate ribs: if you can pull the bone right off the meat, you're a winner. And if the sauce is good and plentiful, you win again. AJ's wins twice. Don't hesitate to go here!

This was fantastic BBQ!

This place is the BEST in Anchorage for BBQ! Be sure to go! They have excellent customer service and amazing food! Make sure you have cash, if not make a run to The atm next door at Walgreens!Hidden Gem! I recommend everything!!! I can’t pick my favorite! Okay, the half-chicken! Yum!

I came here today and the lady behind the counter was super friendly and nice. Food was pretty good as well. They take cash only so be aware of that. Service was great!

The ribs are outstanding today, falling off the bone and sweet!

One of the most disappointing bbq experiences I’ve ever had. Ordered the brisket and the country style ribs and both were dry and flavorless. It was obviously overcooked to the point the majority of the fat had rendered out of the meat. I saw a line of heating trays on the table so I can only assume it’s been sitting there a while. The country ribs had the consistency of dried out pot roast. Definitely not going back. This badly needs work.
