The cheese dip was cold and did not taste good. We waited 25 minutes to have our order taken after we told him we just needed a minute. Our waiter was rude and was just sitting at the table on his phone while we were ready to order.
Today was our first visit and we agreed we've found our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Tuscaloosa! Everything tasted incredible and our server did a great job!!
Food is just bland service is horrible legit have to wait almost 20 mins for a refill on chips and drinks. Salsa is good but that’s it
This was a terrible experience. The drinks were watered down, the chips were burnt, and the wait staff was really rude. When I made mention of the chips being a little over cooked ( you could clearly see they were brown and hard) the waiter seemed upset and snatched them off of the table, wasting some of the chips on the floor. There were also gnat flies flying around. I found myself fanning them away which was quite annoying. The staff members all seemed irritable and frustrated. I definitely won’t be going back.
Off 15th Street, Tuscaloosa, AL. Great location, plenty of parking. Very good service. Food delicious with large servings. Very good prices. Ask for the free nachos and dip.
I did a pickup order for their Enchiladas Verde and from their menu it’s 10.95 there’s no way my food should’ve been $14. On top of that only 1/3 enchiladas were actually chicken, the other two were filled with refried beans. I very disappointed because I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile now. Hate to say it, but it’s not worth even giving them a second try.

I am very disappointed at Veracruz. It was one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town. Unfortunately my family and I went in and sat and ordered drinks and queso. We waited patiently for our server to come back to take our order while other tables came in and immediately got serviced and a welcoming smile. I felt like our server was bothered by us when he noticed that we still needed a minute to figure out our order at first and then when we proceeded to get his attention via another employee he still neglected to come take our order. I hate to make things about race but as the only black family in the restaurant our service seemed very poor. I actually liked Veracruz but they are now on my do not eat list. I am not sure if this was simply the employee or not because we never had a bad experience there but only one employee actually apologized when we said we felt uncomfortable and left. Again this was my and my family's experience.
Pretty great prices and pretty great food. Service was pretty okay, no problems with it really. I wish they had a better system for delivery/take out because the food is great anywhere and I enjoy getting it to go. They also do not go light when making drinks, I got a margarita and it was very strong, in a good way though.
The food was good, & the drinks were strong. A little bit small in the dining capacity, but other than that I have no complaints.
