I saw this place months ago, but was unable to ever get a pizza due to the strange soft open hours and limited supply. The pizza was high quality. The restaurant is nice and clean. The sauce is the strong point as it seems homemade and delicious. The pizza had hardly any sauce on it and I like a lot of sauce. Luckily I asked for extra sauce so it was pretty good. There is a lot of crust, but they didn't offer a side of sauce, so I waisted the crust. The cheese cake isn't good in my opinion. Which is bad because you can almost see Southern Ale House from the parking lot, and they have "That Cheesecake". The price nocked a star off for me as well. If the pie and a couple thin slices of Cheesecake were $45 or so it would have been 4 stars, but right at $60 doesn't do it for me. Good clean restaurant, good service, quality ingredients, and the pizza isn't bad. The price is too high in my opinion, might give it another try in a few months to see if I feel different.
Went here for the first time tonight. Called in an order at 3:58pm right before they opened at 4pm and they were already sold out of the Sicilian pizza which seems to be there signature style pizza. So I ordered the 12 inch mushroom. It was really good and flavorful but know this is a small pizza about enough for 2 people. The staff was absolutely the nicest staff you will ever come across. On the phone they are nice and in person they are nice. They have mastered the art of customer service already and they just opened! The dining room is really nice too, better than your average pizza place. So they took great care in the design and color schemes and even wrote hand crafted messages in the door. Try and bring cash to pay because there are extra fees for using your credit card. There are extra fees at the bar but I don’t use the bar just read the sign. So with tips and extra fees you can rack up a hefty bill for a small meal. To sum things up, the pizza was good with tiny portions and pricey but the service workers were top notch. Perhaps the Sicilian is worth the cost so we will definitely go back and try again to order it. All in all they will put a huge dent in the Heat and Mellow Mushroom customer base. Oh and the location of the restaurant is fantastic!
Delicious pizza with the freshest ingredients. Don't skip dessert! Very comfortable atmosphere. Perfect for date night or a family meal. Everything was tasty! We tried the meat pizza and cheese pizza, New York style. Loved both. Will be back!
Absolutely delicious! I have been praying for a spectacular pizza place and my wishes have finally come true! We order the New York style Hot Italian, Mama Mia, & magic mushroom! All were absolutely delicious! Probably some of the best pizza crust I’ve ever had! Can’t wait to try other options!
Finally, Tuscaloosa has a pizza place that can compare with Italy, NYC, Chicago and beyond. Just Excellence.
Fresh and delicious local pizza! Very friendly as soon as I walked in to pick up my pizzas. We tried the Mama Mia and the Hot Italian. Both were delicious and smelled amazing as soon as I picked them up! I loved the fresh flavors and the crust on both. Definitely will return!
Truly exceptional pizza!! The crust is perfection, and the sauce and toppings were incredibly fresh and delicious. I also picked up some of the homemade pasta to have tomorrow, and based upon the pizza, I cannot wait to try it! Also, the staff I interacted with were wonderful! I cannot recommend this place highly enough as there is obvious emphasis on quality.
TuscNY never disappoints! You can tell how thoughtfully the food was prepared when you taste how well the flavors of the fresh ingredients compliment each other! So far I have tried their NY pizza, take home pasta and meatballs, pesto, cheesecake, and black n white cookies. Would Order everything again!
Picked up 2 of the 12” pies today: The Hot Italian plus the Sausage and onions. Oh my goodness. The thin crust is perfect! Sauce is on point. The sausage is the best I have had! Loved the caramelized onions. Also enjoyed the Hot Italian with the pepperoni and hint of hot honey. I cannot wait for this restaurant to open!!!
Excellent true NY style pizza in Tuscaloosa! Crust was perfect and their sauce is delicious! Highly recommend to all pizza lovers. Can’t wait to try the pastas, Sicilian and Detroit style next. We’ll done, TuscNY!
