Taco Casa ? is one of my favorite places to eat in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The hot or mild enchilada is very good also the taco salad ?plus they have other good menu items to try especially the sweet ice tea it's one of best if you are a ice tea lover
Prices are more than fair, but the quality of food was slightly lower than expected based on what locals had said. The enchilada was completely submerged in a cheap nacho cheese that made it nearly inedible. The taco was placed on top of the beans, which made the taco shell soggy. The tortilla chips were pretty good, and the rice and beans were decent. I guess I'd say it's halfway between something like Taco Bell and Moe's. Like, better than Taco Bell, but a serious step down from Moe's. The only reason I'm giving them 3 stars instead of 1-2 is that the service was BEYOND excellent (to the point that I almost gave them 4 stars). I seriously couldn't believe how good the service was from the girl at the register (I didn't catch her name). She went above and beyond the entire time and was extremely attentive (she noticed I didn't grab any napkins and left the register to grab some and bring them to me without me even asking or anything ?). She belongs in a 5-star restaurant without a doubt and the restaurant is lucky to have her! Truth be told, if they just made some minor tweaks, I'd give them an extra star. As it stands now, I think this place is probably best if you're drunk one night and out with friends. I could TOTALLY see the appeal if I were into that scene.
First time ever trying Taco Casa, was delicious, will be back!
Drive thru took about 30 min, was given the wrong order, filled out the contact form, got a thank you for letting them know and an apology, no offer to make it right even though I paid for more food than I got
Taco Casa is so amazingly delicious it's not even funny! Don't bother going anywhere else for your Mexican fast food needs. Take advantage while you are near a location because there are only a few locations in Alabama.
The food was great but the only thing that I was cold in there the temperature in there 63 and outside was 38. It's still winter time
Very good food. Always fresh. Friendly staff. Great place to eat at.
Great local fast food place, nice decor and friendly staff to help with choices.
First time eating here last week because we just moved to Tuscaloosa. Number one they left out 4 things we ordered and when I called back I was told to take it up with the main office so I did. I got a call back and said they reviewed the videos and I was a liar and trying to take advantage of them. For real??? I said wow sounds like y’all rip people off (because I know for a fact what I paid for and what I had in my bag when I got home to feed my family) and the mangers response was.. well I was going to send you a gift card but now you don’t get anything and he proceeded to tell me how popular taco casa was and wasn’t concerned with my business. Well thanks Rob, but I didn’t want a gift card because the food we did receive was TRASH. Soggy, flavorless, generic, and horrible. Unbelievably poor customer service on top of that. The other way this place is “popular” is because Tuscaloosa doesn’t offer much in the way of competition. Do your self a favor and pass on this one.
A local favorite since the 1970’s. The location on 15th street can get backed up at times but it’s worth the wait.
