Absolutely phenomenal. Chuck's enjoys the reputation as #1... not our experience. You are receiving chef-inspired rolls in an awesome setting at Hokkaido. We LOVED our experience here! Chuck's is good, fresh food- but the portions are small. And there's "hype" and a wait- scoot over to 15th street and get your munch on!!

Loved the environment given by the cooks, and it was an amazing experience for my first time. Well portioned for the price. The drum was a shocking experience as well (I wasn't expecting it, but the second time was great). Would definitely come back. I do say that the closing hours aren't updated online.
Our food was cooked in front of us with pleasing taste teasers... and great entertainment as well. Such a meal was created beautifully and the flavor of it all, was marvelous! Celebrating our son's high school graduation from The Capital, at Hokkaido, was indeed the best choice of restaurants, for that special day, which was also our graduates 19th birthday celebration!Congrats and hats off to you, Jake...you're simply the best!Happy Birthday son. We used to go to this place all the time. But it has really gone downhill. They never have had authentic miso - but even the tempura dipping sauce is something out of a Hardy’s restaurant. As for the shrimp tempura —don’t think it’s all gonna be shrimp. It’s mostly vegetables even though the menu doesn’t mention any of it. The sushi was OK. Overpriced and frankly a mess. Go somewhere else.
The cook and server were very warm and entertaining. The staff and management came to our table throughout our visit to ensure we were having a pleasant time and that all of our needs were being met. To say that the food was very good, would be a grave understatement. We enjoyed it immensely. I have dined with several Japanese restaurants, but they all pale in comparison. Kudos and our compliments to the chef.

Epic service and atmosphere.The waitress was super nice and made sure we werent wanting for anything. I had a california roll and 2 pieces of Unagi, and tried some of my friends steak, chicken, and shrimp combo.Everything was amazing, and I would highly recommend eating here!
