We've been to this breakfast spot on a couple of occasions now and both times have been fantastic. The City Grits are the way to go with fresh tomatoes on top. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is fresh and made well. Nice view of the river certainly doesn't hurt!
Impressively mediocre experience. We went on a Saturday at 8:30 in the morning. Which I would usually expect to be the best service at a brunch place. But it was mediocre at bestIt felt like it might be our lucky morning because there was only a 20 minute wait to get in. But it immediately went downhill from there when just getting an initial glass of water took 10 minutes. And the whole meal was like this, with us trying to just eat and leave because the waitress didn't ever check in on us to see if we needed refills or anything. We didn't wait to even see the bill by the end, because we'd already been there for an hour and wanted to leave, so we gave the waitress our credit card in the hopes to just go as quickly as possible. But even with that she went inside and we watched as she helped a table of six order which took another 15 minutes. As for the food, while most of it was fine, the icing on the cake was that my husband's eggs benedict had eggs that were poached until they were hard boiled, see the picture. I didn't even know that was possible. And since the service was so poor, it wasn't worth trying to get fixed if we wanted to leave before the lunch rush.
The best brunch in town! Love it. The food is so tasty.

Food was great. We were seated quickly but it was the middle of the week.
Food and service were both hood.
This is a beautiful little breakfast restaurant - you can get “in-line” on yelp before you go. The menu is good and food well prepared and delicious. Definitely a favorite
Service: great and friendlyFood: fantastic and menu had great variety of selectionsWhat went wrong:Came here for the breakfast/brunch That everyone keeps talking about. Had an alcoholic drink and an orange juice with my meal. The drinks was good except the juice. It smelled awful and I actually drank the juice. That was a mistake... found out that the glass wasn't PROPERLY polished or cleaned. It was the smell of the soap washing detergent from the dishwasher. so it's kinda my fault but the staff should've noticed that the glass wasn't cleaned before serving it to the tables.3?
Overall, if you want a larger breakfast this is a good option. Be prepared to wait up to 2 hours to be seated and pay $35+ for one person.
Great food all the time but especially love the seasonal specials! Indoor or outdoor seating for whatever suits you. Can be a long wait during busy times but we usually plan ahead to get there on off times.
