I tend to like Cracker Barrel for breakfast on the road, but this was an... interesting experience. It started with a long wait to have our drink order taken and when our waitress, Summer, showed up, to take our order and vanished and she seemed perfectly nice. Once our order was placed, Summer came back about 15 minutes later to drop our drinks and to inform us it would be a wait for our food since the kitchen was backed up. No big. Things happen, restaurants get busy. Our food shows up and two of our table's three orders were wrong, but Summer doesn't show back up. At this point, the restaurant has mostly emptied out. The eggs in a basket with the eggs over easy were cooked way over hard. And the french toast with the eggs over medium had two eggs that were... way under cooked as in barely considered over easy. The blueberry pancakes were fine. We watched to flag her down, but, unfortunately, we ended up just eating around what we could because Summer didn't emerge to our table to check us on; she showed back up only to ask if we were on one ticket or not. She dropped off the ticket and scurried away. It was a bad dining experience all around. If you're out road tripping, I'd recommend skipping this Cracker Barrel and finding somewhere else for breakfast.

Visited again after a long hiatus. The fried chicken is the best I've had anywhere. Crispy and moist with flavor to the bone. They must brine the pieces as that is the only way to impart that much flavor and retain moisture. As good as the chicken is, I may choose a big bowl of their turnip greens as they are smokey and perfectly seasoned. A splash of pepper sauce is all it needs to make it not only the perfect side but with corn muffins, a meal unto itself. As a true son of the south, I would never praise a chain over homemade but those greens are that good.

We had two good meal experiences at the Prattville, AL, location in April, 2022. Arriving in the evening, tired from a long trip, and needing to eat before settling in, we had supper at Cracker Barrel. I had my usual bowl of pinto beans with cornbread and the fixings while my wife tried a chicken sandwich. The food was good and our server was very nice. The next morning, after discovering that our hotel's continental breakfast was subpar, we opted to eat a small breakfast at Cracker Barrel, so we walked back over again to that restaurant. I had biscuits and fried apples, while my wife had biscuits, fried apples and bacon. We both had whole milk. The food was good, our hostess was friendly and happy, our server was again good and the cashier was a delight to talk to as she checked us out. We went on our way with contentment, thankful for the Prattville Cracker Barrel.

I always order the maple bacon + chicken dish. This time, I tried their hot chocolate drink. It was great! I love coming to eat here

My family and I Love this Cracker Barrel. Our Server Alyssa was awesome!!!! Fast, accurate ,Very attentive, funny, and professional .All around Probably one of the best servers we have had in awhile at this restaurant.

Good food and great staff very friendly

It's a nice place to spend some time browsing and eating. The food and service are always good, and there's always something that gets my attention in the country store. Clean bathrooms and kid- friendly toys and meals make it a good choice if you've got little ones.

Even with covid in place excellent service and good always hoodThis was a good visit to Cracker Barrel in Prattville, I had the chicken fried chicken with turnip greens, fried okra and hash brown casserole tots. All cooked just right, My wife had the Sunday special Pot Roast and it was served in a small pot and piping hot at the table and very good. Service was good, and the server was friendly and on time with refills.

Worst Cracker Barrel experience I’ve had. We checked in online to only find out when we got there that they weren’t accepting those. The lady gave me so much attitude when all I asked was how much longer we’d have to wait. We finally got seated but waited over 40 minutes to get our food. When it was brought out everyone just threw it at us but there was no room on the table for anything (ended up holding my plate for half the meal). Three of us got steak but no one’s was cooked correctly (all steaks were supposed to be medium but it was medium rare, and 2 well done). The lady handed us our check as soon as our food was given to us and didn’t check on us once more after that. Not a single person in that restaurant was friendly or welcoming. I understand they were very busy but doesn’t give anyone the right to treat customers that way. Definitely won’t be back here again.
