9:51 pm on a Friday night and I’m told that the fryers are off and it’s an additional 25 minute wait. I was basically talked out of ordering a family meal. I agreed at the drive thru speaker to wait 15-20 for fresh spicy and then they increased the time to 20-25 and I was still willing to wait. When I got to the window they added he additional wait time and said they had to warm up the fryers. We left without ordering. Unacceptable when the drive thru doesn’t close until 11.
This has got to be the worst fast food restaurant in the state. We live about a mile away from this location so even though we get terrible service and food every time we go, we’ve still visited at least 10 times. Not once ever since this place has opened have we left and got home with a correct order. Regardless of the complexity of the order, something is always wrong. Who ever owns this franchise must be okay with it closing down because it’s without a doubt headed that way. Not only are the employees incompetent, they’re almost always incredibly rude. I literally can’t express how bad this place is. I had an incredibly simple order today, and it was still wrong. I’m done. I’ll be driving to the location on 280 from now on if I want Popeyes. Even though it’s several miles further.
I don't normally leave reviews but someone seriously needs to look into the personnel at this location. I've only been to this location twice and had a bad experience both times. My first experience,the lady on drive-thur was extremely rude for no reason. She sounded like she was being inconvencing by her having to take my order. I was kind of taken back because there weren't any issues or difficulties with my 2 person order. I didn't say anything and passed it off as she may just be having a rough day. The second time,I came inside and the employees just stared but no one took our order. The drive-thur employee got mad at the growing drive-thur line and came into the dining area and locked the dining door while announcing, "we have to focus on drive-thur!" There were 4 or 5 customers already inside waiting to order when she locked the door.I had to unlock the door to leave still WITHOUT ordering. I'm honestly scared for anyone to eat at this location with the way they present themselves.
No shade..but they have to do better. Chicken was unseasoned. Potatoes cold biscuits hard chicken undercooked too. Waited 100 years for a bad meal. Paid all of that money for complaints. It was awful. I like Popeyes but not that location. Oh the red beans were watery and the rice hard as a brick. We got played or did we get punked? Boy we were hungry. The whole meal went in the trash. What a waste. Never again. Since then we haven't gone to any of them. Lazy workers. The BOSS needs to pop up more. I would. Won't see them next time.
This is the 5th time I have gone to the popeyes on hwy 80 in phenix city al. I was excited to get one close to the house. But no, the 1st time I went waited in the drive thru for 10 min ( had to cook it) really! 2nd time they were out of white meat would again need to wait like 20 min NO their attitude was oh well. Closed widow walked away. 3rd time out of mash potatoes seriously how does that happen walmart is litterly right there. Go to the store. They just didn't care . 4th time oh my gosh could the girl at drive thru be any ruder just nasty chicken. Over cooked biscuits like a rock. Every time I say this is the last time so tonight I tried again. Are you kidding me 6 pm on a Friday night they need to cook more after waiting almost 5 min at drive thru to order. They must hear this often. No apology. I will never be back. All I wanted was chicken How hard is this. The end
Slow, never enough chicken, long wait time, the employees took about 4 minutes to respond to drive thru mic. Horrible. At the dinnertime hour, when folks are getting off work, hot fresh chicken should be coming up and being dropped simultaneously. No customers because of poor planning.
I love this Popeyes. The food is always hot and fresh. The employees are professional and treats me and other guest nice each time I come. The store is always clean. I recommend this Popeyes restaurant to everyone who loves Popeyes chicken.
I ordered 2 three wings and a biscuit and 1 Three wing combo all mild. When we got to the window the cashier said we can only fill one order of mild. But we have 4 mild wings available, so I said to add the one mild wing with the two spicy wings which the 3rd order was all spicy. She combined the wings to two boxes and put 4 wings in the first box and three in the second box. I asked before driving off where were the other order. She said she combined them. My daughter dropped me off and I went to fill my gas tank at Walmart so I tried to call but no one answered. On my way back I stopped and went inside. Nothing was resolved. I will not be going back.
How in today's world do you get banned from Popeyes because the incompetent manager claims she spoke to corporate and they said to bar my wife from coming back. She didn't cause a scene or get nasty with anyone. I'm wondering if they even knew what was/is going on at this location. Corporate obviously doesn't or care to know how this restaurant is failing their customers. While my wife complained about our order, I B.S. you not, three other customers came in with complaints of their own, and left with the same unsatisfactory outcome as ours. Someone needs to do some restructuring of management and crew at this Hwy 80 west in Phenix City, AL location, because I know they could be having more business than what they have already lost! Wish reviewers had the option to leave no stars, because I truly think this place deserves no stars at all.
Worst customer service. If you want dinner from there, you better go at lunch time so you can get it by dinner time because they take forever
