We arrived around 2 pm and there was a waiting area full of people. The hostess told us there would be a 30 minute wait. The part that was amazing to me was that there was half the tables or more that were empty. We declined the wait and left.
Great place to go eat out with friends and catch up. The food is wonderful. I got the grilled shrimp and baked potatoes.. ??♥️

I was shocked to see they serve delicious coleslaw and hush puppies for free to eat while you wait for your food. It was amazing! We tried the alligator (so yummy), the seafood gumbo is very legit, catfish (grilled and fried), steamed Gulf shrimp, baked potato, fries, and cheese grits. Our server was amazing! Plus the kids all got a piece of candy once they were done with their meal. We will definitely try this establishment when we come back here on vacation!
The family had dinner and it was very good, always is. We have been to Ezell's many times over the years. We especially like the shrimp and catfish platters. They have good slaw and fried okra too. The service was good and they were a little busy but it was not much of a wait and well worth it. I like that the location in Phenix City is close to my son's house and we can meet there for dinner anytime.
Good customer service. Great food. Their hushpuppies are the best ever in a restaurant. Their coleslaw is fantastic as well. Prices are reasonable...a bit above average but still reasonable. Worth stopping by if you're traveling thru
the food was good and the service was ok but the waitress had no personality at all. we came as a group, all family.. but was told because of covid we couldn't sit as a group but yet we're charged gratuity. im typically a 10 dollar plus tipper anyways. but to be forced to pay the high amount of tip for just ok service was crazy. management didn't help matters any by saying there was nothing she could do about it and said I'm not gonna argue with you, then looks at the next couple in line and says loudly glad yall enjoyed yourselves. absolutely won't go back again!

Ate at ezells april 24 at 1130. The trash can at the frint of building was full. The floor inside restaurant was covered in some sticky substances and a big puddle of stale water leading into kitchen . Never have I seen a more disgusting restaurant at store opening. Got fish and could not eat tasted rotten
We got the whole catfish dinner and oh my gosh was it good. Tasted just like the southern food I grew up with. The french fries and hushpuppies were steamy hot and very tasty. The place was clean and the staff was polite. My only suggestion is the catfish plate needs to be FOUR pieces of fish (it only comes with 3). Can't wiat to go back!
