Great pizza! Sauce/ cheese/crust ratio is spot on, pizza is cooked perfectly, dough has just the right amount of chewiness. This is the Rita ( aka Margherita) and it was perfect. We also ordered the one with arugula— it was tasty as well but the prosciutto overpowered it a bit— a dash of lemon or balsamic on the arugula would help balance the saltiness a bit. Still overall it was fantastic and such a pleasant surprise! This is definitely worth the drive to Opelika!
I usually have had a great experience here but tonight after waiting 25 min to go pick up my pizza (which is fine), I arrive and it hasn't even been started (it was a medium pizza on the menu, not even a BYO). He put it together and stuck it in the oven. I don't know what an appropriate time is to cook a pizza in this style and I'm not sure if he felt pressure to get it done because I was there well after it should have been ready, but when I got home the crust appeared done (some burnt areas) but the base was still somewhat raw. Just overall disappointed.
Friendly enough staffand facility was clean but the menu is a little hard yo understand and the food was really greasy. Also, there should be more separation between prep areas for those of us allergic to certain foods. One option on the menu is made with pecan flour I believe and as I am highly allergic, it was definitely a concern for me as I could see not alternate prep space that could have led to cross contamination.
The pizza tasted nice but part of mine was burnt. I feel that there should be more toppings, not in terms of variety but quantity. It was looking kinda empty with all the types of toppings listed on the menu.
Good service. Lots of delicious pizza toppings. Beer selection better than most. Would have been 5* except the prices are just a little high.
