Came here for my birthday. My first time here and I had a great experience. I felt welcomed here. A great place for date night, however, it's expensive. So be ready spend big money!

Enjoyed the shrimp taco lunch special (blackened) with a sweet tea and my meal was exxxxcellent! Grab a side of creole remoulade and it is complete wonderment!

Great place for a date night. Reservations recommended here as the first time we tried we couldn't get in.The wait staff was friendly, prompt, and attentive. The atmosphere was quaint and comfortable.Food was the only reason for a 4 star rating. The prime pork chop was juicy and flavorful. My favorite part was the grit cake, I just couldn't get enough of it. My least favorite item was the Brown Sugar rubbed ribeye steak, for the amount of money it just didn't have the wow factor or flavor that I would expect. I've had better at lesser restaurants.All in all I will definitely be back. Try it out and see for yourself.

Meh. People here have been served bad food for so long that mediocre is considered excellent. I just don't get how people think this is one of the best in Alabama. The steak was like somebody pulled it out of the wrapper and threw it on the grill without any consideration of seasoning. The environment was so dark I could not tell what I was cutting with my knife and what I was putting into my mouth. It was just an unremarkable expensive experience. If this place was in New Orleans it would be out of business.
