I ordered the All star with coffee. I asked for dark waffle, over medium well eggs, crisp bacon and hashbrowns scattered smothered and covered... I got a light waffle, over light eggs, undercooked limp bacon in a pool of grease and my hashbrowns were overcooked on one side and not cooked at all on the other with burnt onions. The server was sweet but the food was Awful! I went to the other Northport location to start with and sat down to a film on the lowbar so I tried to wipe it with a napkin and whatever was on the bar was a black residue . So I left and went to the location in front of lowes in northport where apparently the cook needs to be retrained.
Great food, and fast service. Great employees, they are nice and very friendly.
For a long time, the bacon was crisp, the waffles were a golden brown, & the tables were clean. The last three times, sadly (during hours when they're less busy), the bacon was pink, the waffles were not brown (doughy, not fully cooked), & food was on every table. Sadly, the new place in Nortport is the same. I'd love to have a good, clean Waffle House to visit that makes quality food like it did three years ago. I hope they improve.
The food is good when I go, but as I work midnights, it's impossible to get anyone on the phone after 11pm! I'll need to call multiple times for an order, and there is no answer. It rings before going to voicemail each time. Each time I speak to someone there on the issue, they apologize and give random excuses. "The phones are down", "Both phones are dead", "One doesn't work", "We shut the phones off at night".
Even though they were busy, everyone there seemed to be on their game to get all the customers taken care of. I heard good communication that you hardly ever hear in any fast food restaurant.

JJ cooked us the best bacon we've ever had at a Waffle House. Jessica was super polite and accommodating.It's refreshing to support a business that is focused on customer service. THIS location does that and does it well.Thanks yall.
