Wedding Anniversary
Staffing shortages due to covid are still impacting the restaurant. Everyone was pleasant and helpful, but water glasses did not get filled and wine was served late.
Fresh and flavorful food prepared as ordered. We had a great meal!
This was my second time dining at The House Restaurant. The ambiance and atmosphere inside this gem are amazing. I have only dined here on Sunday evenings and they have live music which adds to the experience in a positive way! I had the Southern Fried Chicken meal that comes with Macaroni n' Cheese and Collard Greens. The chicken and collards were delicious! Both were seasoned really well. All I added was hot sauce. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the mac n' cheese. I think it may have been the type of cheese that they use - I'm really not sure. Our waitress, Blake, was really helpful. Overall, this was still a great experience. I will be back.

We enjoyed a table in the small alcove area with live music. The salad with shrimp & fried green tomato app was very good. Waitress was nice.
We were looking for a place for breakfast and walked by The House, thought the menu looked good, so we tried it on a Saturday morning. Our server was Dwayne, a very friendly and professional server who took great care of us. The highlights for that day were the spicy bloody Mary’s and the goat cheese and egg dish-absolutely amazing! On Sunday, we decided to go back and asked to sit in Dwayne’s section. Excellent service again! We tried the breakfast buffet this time and Sonia at the omelette station made THE BEST OMELETTE I’ve ever had! The ingredients were very fresh and she cooked it all perfectly! Montgomery is a great city to visit and my husband travels there frequently for work, we will definitely be back to The House on our next trip!
