Has a nice home, and clean feeling, employees with great personalities serving your food and most of all the food is delicious.
My favorite Restaurant I have been dining there since the 80's, as a Truck Driver now when I pass through Montgomery, I always find a way to get there even if by Taxi.Love the Food and know the Staff by Names.SOUL FOOD DINNER for less than $20?
The food was awful at best ? everything we had the chicken taste like wood, green beans, dressing and mac and cheese gross. We threw away all 30 plates and went somewhere else. Waste of money especially for catered event such as a funeral at least allow the family find comfort in the food and that definitely wasn't the case..
Best fried chicken I've ever had!! Everything I have had there so far has been awesome!
Located in a sketchy part of town, and figuratively a hole-in-wall is what this place looks like. I bring my mother here sometimes because she likes their southern, home-cooked food. Her only complaint is that their food is too salty. I've eaten here twice and indeed the food is being overly salted.
I try to patronize Black owned businesses but when u walk into this place you aren't greeted. Their attitude is horrible and definitely isn't a welcoming environment. I don't think Ms Pierce would be pleased if she knew customers was treated this way.
The food is decent, but entirely too too salty, and the meat entrees are small....
I was looking for for a good soul food spot. But, I wanted only veggies. I'll go down the line. I got rice and gravy. The gravy fell straight through the rice. It was like water poured over it. There was no seasoning or taste to it at all. Thank goodness I had hot sauce. Next, I had greens and green beans which both taste like they were dumped straight out of a can. I had a cornbread muffin which was probably the best thing on the plate. Lastly, I had the Mac & cheese. I took one fork full and put the top back on it. The noodles were over cooked and there couldn't have been any cheese. Worst plate I've ever gotten from anywhere.
It use to be the hottest food restaurant on Fairview. I have tried it several times due to the fact it's close by a relative house. Never can I recapture that childhood taste. It's food and it's hot...go try it for yourself!
The fried chicken was good, collard greens was okay but needed a little more seasoning/garlic and the Mac n cheese wasn’t homemade like real baked Mac n cheese! It tasted like Kraft box Mac n cheese with the powder cheese my mom used to feed us and the noodles were super super soggy!!!! Tried using the fork to pick up a mouth full and it broke up cause of how soggy it was. I heard great reviews about this place and it did not meet standards or live up to the hype!!
