Enjoyed a lovely meal with my granddaughter
There was one server in the whole building. We waited for 15 minutes at the door with no one telling us what's going on or how long we were expected to wait. We get seated at the hibachi grill. We order our sushi and dinner. Sushi didn't come till we were about to leave. The portion size was cut back to kids' meal size, but we paid adult prices. We saw the table in front and received double the portion size. We walked out very disappointed. This was our oldest birthday, and her and her friend were expecting sushi. I'm very disappointed.
The only reason they get 1 star is because it made me select atleast one! This is possibly the worst dining experience I have had in my 42 years (I eat out alot) 1:43 minutes for me and my 10yr old son to eat!Ordered the filet and shrimp got 4 shrimp and 6 extremely small pieces of NY strip they attempted to pass off as Filet. I eat at sushi Cafe off Zelda orSushi ro in Prattville atleast once a week. You receive much higher quality food at these. Plus a kids plate at either comes with more then we received on both our plates total tonight. Price was much higher for half the food and a quarter the quality. And top that off with the worst service possible! The young sushi chef was the only bright spot he was educated and excellent at his job. But he couldn't do everything. This place is absolutely awful!! ?

My nephew is being deployed and we had a last minute dinner. 28 people showed up without a reservation. With only two cooks they called in someone so that all 3 stations would be used. The manager there gave my nephew 3 bible verses to read with one being about courage. He also prayed over the children. I have never been so moved at a restaurant. I will never forget the service we received there. they earned customers for life ! Food was excellent!

This "use" to be my number one spot years ago however, it has turned into my last spot! Last Wednesday evening around 7:35pm I stopped in for three items. Placed my order and was told 15-20 minutes. I sat at the bar playing on my cell phone. I watched as other individuals walked in and sat down in the sushi area, ordered, ate and left. At 8:00pm I went in to check my order and she said a few more minutes. At this time, a door dasher came in and I am positive the two waitress said, "##^ doordash" and told the young man there was no doordash order and continued to do other things. He called the customer and several minutes later another person (door dasher entered as well, I think it was the customer). Due to me not understanding their language but expressions and body language...the MIYAKO STAFF were being negative and dismissive towards the men. After all of this it was 8:20pm, I asked is my order ready and she said, few more minutes. I asked the guys what did their customers order and told them...I am gone. I could have gone to a lake and caught the tuna, crab, shrimp and cleaned and prepared it. This was the worse experience ever at this establishment. I KNEW THAT I SHOULD HAVE DRIVEN ON OVER TO "SUSHI CAFE" FOR SUPERB FOOD AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. DANIEL, SUN AND THE STAFF ARE ALWAYS SMILING, WELCOMING AND CONCERNED! THIS IS WHY I AM WARNING NEW COMERS AND OLD ALIKE....VISIT SUSHI CAFE ON ZELDA ROAD FOR A WONDERFUL ALL AROUND SUSHI EXPERIENCE. I STAND ON THIS REVIEW! #CANCEL MIYAKOJAPANESE STEAK & SUSHI; Sorry, not sorry.
Great place for sushi. Service was fantastic. We will be back soon.
